Tips & Tricks
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Placing Multiple Path Attachments:
Hold Shift to fill all available spaces along a block of road with selected path attachment.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Trouble Making Money:
- Rollercoasters with high Excitement are your main sources of income
- Incoporate Block Breaks into your coaster design to increase number of trains
- If guests state that a certain ride is Awesome, it's safe to increase the price of that ride
- Lower ride maintenance budget (ie. to 75%)
- (Personal preference) Leave park entrance fee at $0 and increase every other price
- Generally speaking, always pay off loans with the highest interest rate. Take loans with lower interest rates to do so if needed

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Increasing Experience Rating:
Experience Rating is different from Overall Park Rating. To identify why guests are having bad experiences, open up the panel for 'Guests Overview - Thoughts', toggle the Green, Red, and Blue face icons, then address these concerns accordingly (Pic 1).

Notable Complaints:
Vandalism is really bad - Put game on 1x speed, zoom in, look for guests wearing bandanas and ban them from the park! (Pic 2).
Toilet is disgusting - Build more toilets. Hire more janitors if they are too busy.
Hungry / Thirsty - Build all the available food/drink shops, including Vending Machines.
No High-Intensity Rides - When you're out of budget (or too lazy to build a new ride), simply add 1 section of brakes at the end of the track and set it to a low value (ie. 0.5km/h). This will increase Intensity at the cost of a slight increase in Nausea (Pic 3).

Pic 1: Constantly monitor guest thoughts and remediate major complaints will drastically increase Experience Rating. Minor complaints can be ignored.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Paddleboats & Bumper Boats:
Requires 1 cubed space above water and 0.5 cubed space below water to function (Pic 1). Please be mindful of a slight delay when conditions are met before the ride can be activated. (Previously wrote 'half slope' which was wrong)
Additionally, press and hold the arrow button to extend the length of your station (Pic 2). This took me way too long to figure out...

Decorations
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notable Good & Bad Sources:
Buildings provide decoration ratings to the surrounding areas within 8 cubes. All shops provide good decoration ratings (pic 1). Cash Machine and Info Kiosk provide good decoration ratings (pic 2). Toilet and First Aid provide bad decoration ratings (pic 2). Depot provides bad decoration ratings in all directions but less so on one side (pic 3).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Walls & Trees:
Walls (Pic 1) and trees (Pic 2) will act as a barrier against bad decoration rating.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heights:
Bad decoration rating sources come in all shapes and sizes. Use taller trees or build a wall to block towers or sources located on a hill.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Coasters:
Decoration rating will impact Excitement. The entire length of the ride will be affected by decorations (pic 1). Equally priced decorations will not always provide the same Excitement (pic 2, pic 3). Having a diverse range of decorations will provide higher Excitement (pic 4).

Pic 2, both $24, same name (Fir, Type 1 & 2)

Pic 3, both $50, same name (Fountain)

Pic 4, all $24, same name (Fir). Notice right side (Fir, Type 3) is slightly lowered. Tested with $24 Pine which yielded the same lowered Excitement.

Vending Machines:
Haulers will not restock vending machines from behind, thus will cause major guest complaints if the machine is placed at an inconvenient location. Placing the machine right beside service road exits to mimimize hauler's walking distance.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Music:
Doesn't seem to do anything.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Underground:
Having a portion of the ride go underground increases Excitement. However, decorating underground areas might be difficult.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Duration (Minutes):
Affects Excitement. Mixed results were obtained. It seems like there's a "sweet spot" for each ride. Some rides were higher in Excitement when duration is short (<30s) and some when duration is long (>5m). Below results were obtained from the Giga Coaster and do not represent all coasters.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chain Speed:
Higher the speed, faster the chain pulls. A pseudo way of shooting the cart off a ramp.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cart Sizes:
[Speculations] Physics! Changing the length of carts will have various effects on guest experiences. Longer carts take longer to go through the same section of a Launch rail and will thus be accelerated to a much higher speed than shorter carts would. Additionally, passengers have individual weights (?) which makes everything much more complicated. When designing a ride, be mindful of this option during the planning stage can save a lot of headaches later.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
S-Bends:
Given the same track length, S-bends will increase nausea and nothing else. Use it mainly as a tool to adjust track positioning... or to provide a mild torture.

Thanks for the tip on vending machines! I've been racking my brain trying to figure out why they keep delivering to the front when the back has full access!

Very easy to follow and wonderfully informative. I'll definitely be using that Shift function for path decor!
