You do, however, lose points if the calculation isn't performed. (E.g. you fall down a pit, you crash and fall off off the K-Drive or you break the points before it calculates.)
It's not even necessarily "landing badly". When you bump on basically any difference of heigth in terrain after you land, the counter breaks, if it hasn't disappeared yet.
What is considered a nice landing? This is where my problem is, I constantly lose all my points due to just landing normally. I don't understand why I lose my points, I cant land much different honestly. I've yet to level one kdrive even 10lvls because of this. Got frustrated and just stopped messing with it.
