Budget Grade Battle Tanks

Description
The Maus was a 188 (unloaded) ton moving bunker built by Germany before the end of the war with left over battleship armor plates. There were in total 2 functioning tanks created, the one without a turret (V1) and the one with a turret (V2), Plus 4 extra hulls, and 5 turrets which were ready for fitting, but the project was canceled before they could be finished. The 4 hulls and 5 turrets were unfortunately scrapped after the war by allied forces. The V2 turret was fitted to the V1 hull after orders from the soviet command, which was then dragged to the Kubinka museum where it still sits today... right next to the karl. Due to the vehicle's size, the building it sits in had to be built around it.

The tank had to be transported by railway using a special rail car, making the task of deploying the tank anywhere difficult. The Maus itself could not cross bridges because of its incredible weight and would have had to ford rivers instead, because of this they were planned to run in pairs and would have crossed individually while being supplied power from the other via electrical cables.

While the initial prototypes had 50mm of roof armor, the extra hulls and turrets manufactured before the cancellation were built with 220mm of deck and roof armor meaning that unless a direct hit with a large bomb from an aircraft was achieved on the engine deck they actually would have been able to survive airstrikes and bombardments. They would not have been invincible but they would have been a major pain to get out of the way for any allied troops.

___

The Budget Maus is a machine built for multiverse. Its 180 blocks total allowing multiple people to be using It or other budget tanks that are balanced between each-other for combat. In this case the Budget Maus's Hull and turret are basically impervious frontally to other budget tanks, and has a mid power x7 cannon. The best way to attack it would be to aim low on the sides and rear.

Its mobility and traverse speeds are meant to mimic the Maus in world of tanks~

Yea... I wanted to update everything to use ACS but I got burnt out on besiege.

I'll get back to it again someday.

I decided to convert the Maus to ACS. It was a pain to add ref keys to every drive wheel, and I ran into multiple issues along the way, but I managed to get it to work well.

I mean... in comparison to a normal bunker that cant move id say this is still a pretty good step up in mobility
Captain Toof 9 Dec, 2018 @ 12:29am
