Introduction & Hints
Maybe you want to become the Sage without much help. OK then, here are some hints:
  • Before doing anything, explore as much as you can — every nook and cranny. Seek out even the faintest sight of darkness and let it guide you.
  • Be patient! To become a Sage, first one becomes an Erudite by finding and reading 10 steles, then one becomes Enlightened by finding and reading 38 steles.
  • All steles can be read at any time (with sufficient progress) — you are not "closed off" from reading any of the words of the Way. Once the gate is open, it is wide open for one and all.
  • Thus, there are no steles to read in the intro/tutorial sequence nor any of the Dark/Yin worlds. All steles are located in the Yang (light) lands.
  • Additionally, for a few locations, there may be change in scenery after a touchstone (monolith) is activated. Fear not, for the basic locations of the steles are still the same.
  • There are no steles in The Spring, nor any of The Nameless areas below, with one exception:
  • 12 of the 76 steles are located in a nameless cavern. To reach it, the four touchstones (monoliths) need to first be activated, and then 40 echoes of Yin (the dark world) need to be gathered. You can use the 3-D map located in The Giant's Causeway region (specifically, it looks/feels like a temple, and from above it has many square holes) to locate uncollected echoes.
  • Speaking of echoes, although there may be additional echoes after a touchstone is activated, there are no extra steles. I reiterate: all steles can be read at any time (with sufficient progress).
And just in case you didn't see it the first time:

I think I got it now. Apparently it wasn't enough to change the filename in the back end — there's another number that needed to be changed as well (hence why you were seeing the duplicate). Sorry about that.

It seems the guide now contains 76 images, but I'm seeing the same image twice. Currently the 11th and 12th stele are the same image.

Thanks for alerting me. There's so many steles in that area that it's easy to get lost! I think I simply lost count. I had all 76 screenshots, but I just forgot to add the image code to display that one particular stele :P

Should be good now.

This guide appears to be missing one stele. There are 76 of them but this guide only contains 75 images. This is the missing one: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1639358667

It's located in The Highlands. There's a big rectangular hole in the ground next a ravine. Here's another screenshot of it that shows the rectangular hole in the ceiling of this area: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1639358690

Besides the rectangular hole, there's also a big entrance that leads to the same area. The entrance can be found near the 11th stele in The Highlands (currently the last stele in the Highlands section of this guide). In fact, you can almos see the entrance in the bottom left of the screenshot of the 11th stele in this guide.

Hope this helps.
