The game will be more like I Am Legend.

At night each zombie in a certain radius moves in a random direction.


As a result, zombies was slowly leaving player location. It's not critical if night is short. Well, it's only few hours. And in the morning the player will move in a new location with new zombies, but anyway it's an issue. If you look what happens after 30 hours (hypotetical), you will see that most of zombies gone away.

I improved algorithm. Now it cheats a bit but is more interesting as I think. If there are too much zombies around the player, they will wander according to the old algorithm. But the fewer zombies in the player’s radius, the more likely they will move according to the new algorithm.

In new algorithm each zombie in the player radius moves in a random direction but target point is within player location.


Even more! The mod cheats again. If a zombie is too far, it will come to the player location.

We had a lot of fun surviving and dying during the night.
It was very hard especially in winter.

Recently we all dead because we decided to sleep in a house in town (second floor). Very stupid decision. I was bitten immediately after I woke up. My friend was lucky enough and run away but was eaten later at the same night by horde of zombies that don't like slow frozen people.

Ofc if there is no zombies in current location, they won't come. So you can live in a forest or whatever location you like which is safe enough. But when you go for loot, be careful, plan your night time. ;)

If you are surrounded by wandering zombies at deep night, don't hit, don't push. It will cause the sound, so 5 more zombies will come, you will run and 20 more zombies will see you, and you will die fast.

You may kill a zombie using knife (instant kill). Don't hit or push, just kill by putting the knife in the head.

Don't move or at least don't run. Sneak only! And you may run only if there are 5+ zombies on your tail. Run to the corner of a house, hide around the corner and switch to sneak again.

Move to the second floor BEFORE the night comes, and destroy some floor tiles so zombies won't get you.

Keep moving in your vehicle. Don't get outside. If you are outside, get inside and drive away.

If you accept the fight, kill one by one (knife/blunt) or 3-5 at once (axe/katana) but not more. Run away if they got you.

And finally, be with your friends (multiplayer). So you can protect each other.
