How to replace OST
  • Navigate to ...\Steam\SteamApps\common\FINAL FANTASY VII\data
  • Backup the original music_ogg folder by renaming it to something else like music_ogg.bak
  • Download Final Fantasy VII OST Replacement (Rev.2)[drive.google.com] | Mirror[m.kyaa.sg]
  • Un-RAR it and move the music_ogg folder to the data directory
  • Enjoy!

    For users who have downloaded the replacement BEFORE 22/07/2013, please download Final Fantasy VII OST Replacement Patch 1.0[docs.google.com] and put it in the music_ogg folder.
FAQ
  • Help! My music is still the same!
    1. Check if the game is using the replacement and not the original OST.
    The replacement music_ogg folder should be 8xx MB in size while the original should be 1xx MB.
    2. Make sure the original folder is NOT named music_ogg.
    3. Make sure the replacement folder IS named music_ogg.

  • Missing / buggy track/s
    Check if there is already a fix for the track you're having problems with in the Updates section above, or add me and leave a message stating the track/s & issue.

  • I want to change some tracks to the song I want, can you help me?
    Google is your friend, but here's a good video TUT on how to make looping OGG files.


    Alternatively, you can also leave your request in the comments section below and I'll see if I can help. Please include the track/s you want to replace and the songs you want to replace with.

  • Will this mod disable Steam achievements?
    This is a SAFE mod which will NOT disable/break achievements in any way.

  • I just want the original OST in HD, where can I get it?

DISCLAIMER:
I am aware that there is a similar mod that was released on QHimm[forums.qhimm.com] a few years back.
This is NOT the exact same version.
Both uses Final FanTim's music, but the OGG files in this one were looped by me. There are also some different tracks used that aren't Final FanTim's.

Is it my steam or are there some tracks that are missing or won't play at certain times...especially after resting at an Inn? The music is great but tracks like the world map won't even play

Does anyone happen to have a source for the JENOVA Battle Theme arrangement? Whenever I try to look for it I get unrelated results, no matter what.
