How to allow CIV6 Game saves with windows defender

Here is the Step by step guide to allow Civ 6 to save a game on Windows 10. This guide will fix the problem for most people who cant save. For other people that can't save and have a different Antivirus, the steps should be the same.
~This works for other games that are not saving as well. I recently bought Fallout 4 and it wouldnt save! I Followed these steps and it worked~

Step 1: Open windows Defender

Step 1: Open windows Defender

Use the Search tool on your Task bar, and type Windows Defender Settings.

Then click on windows Defender Settings

Step 2: Find Exclusions and Controlled folder access

First cick on Virus and Threat protection.

Then click Virus and threat protection Settings.

Then scroll until you find exclusions and controlled folder access.

Step 3: controlled folder access

Click on controlled folder access

Then click allow an app through controlled folder access.

Click add an allowed app.

Then search on THIS PC Civilization

Then find civilizationVI.exe And CivilizationVi_DX12.exe

You will have to repeat the steps to add both. Your controlled folder access should have the highlighted files. (Not actually highlighted. I highlighted them in photoshop)

Step 4: Exclusions

First click add or remove exclusions.

Then click add an exclusion and then folder.

Then Find your program file 86 on your harddrive

Then find steam on program files86 and select "select folder"on the bottom left.

Do this for any other locations that Steam may save games. (please note you should only have one save area for steam but I ran out of storage in one section so I had to exclude the other location of my steam library as well)

Step 5: Test game.

Go in to civ 6 and start a game

. Then save. Quit and see if your save Saved! If not let me know and I will be happy to help! Add me on steam and I'll be happy to help as long as Im avalible.

i literally tried everything, this was the only thing that helped!!!
specifically i didn't scroll down to do the folder exclusion, so once i did that, it worked :D

Followed step-by-step and Civ 6 is no where to be found when trying to add it into exclusions? Also, controlled folder access was disabled by default yet still I had this issue in the first place? Any help?

When i got to the "find civilizationVI.exe" part, Civ6 was no where to be seen.. no variation of Civilization was in the search results at all. Very strange seeing how i was just playing it 🤔
Can only find STEAM..
