Welcome to my guide kombatant.

First run is currently a problem in this game.
Even experienced users had an issue from time to times.
I hope you find this helpful.
Minimum Requirements


OS
32-bit Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8
CPU
AMD Athlon X2 2.8@GHz or Intel Core Duo 2.4@GHz
RAM
2GB of Memory
GPU
ATI Radeon 3850 or NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
Direct X

Minimum means all video settings on Low, filters OFF.
Like this screenshot
The graphics in low get a rate of 3/10 [game's possibilities] but you get at least playable game.
Even with a 5 years old machine you can play with lowest video settings.
Skip System Check
Many times in discussions people had found it hard with first start.
Or even got an error message.
Owners of GPU memory is lower than 1GB and will defenately get a problem.
This can be overriden but it comes with some costs..
Warning: Long term could be harmful for your computer due to "heavy-duty work" of your Gpu.
If you are sure that you want to continue read the steps below.

* = optional
1. Go to Start, click Run and paste this [/quote]%appdata%\MKKE\dxdiag.txt[/quote].
2. Find this line
Dedicated Memory: XXXX MB
Where XXXX = your video card's dedicated memory.
3. Change it to
Dedicated Memory: 1024 MB
4. Save and exit.
5*. Go to Start, click Run and paste this
attrib +r %appdata%\MKKE\dxdiag.txt
6. Go to Start, click Run and paste this
%appdata%\MKKE\options.ini
7.1. Find
configured = false
7.2. Replace with:
configured = true
Avoid Nekropolis bug
Nekropolis is the place where all your characters data can be found

Right after game execution if the player two (arrows and num 4 as confirm/gamepad 2) go to nekropolis first the stats get bugged.

If you exit the game and re-enter and navigate through menus up to nekropolis with P1 Keys (wasd + enter as confirm) The stats work and even if P2 enter at nekropolis after P1.

Tested and confirm: MoDuL (Keyboard), Evil1nside [Keyboard, Gamepad)

thank you so much - everything still works! I had to make this change:
Dedicated Memory: 1024 MB
and now everything runs perfectly =)

For minimum requirements, choosing the lowest options isnt available when you open the game. The resolutions are locked to the higher ones. to be able to play efficiently on low end GPUs such as intel hd 4000 we need to have the resolution at 800x600 https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=285946266 forcing the whole laptop into that will get rid of slow mo completely. Add it to your guide if you need to, im guessing alot of people are having this problem

@Demopan: Best solution for this is to verify integrity of game cache.

@Gildarts: Try the following options ini but change the resolution to yours (best to use a 16:9)

resolution = {1600, 900}
antialiasing = 3
blend_antialiasing = 1
anisotropy = 4
max_texture = 4096
shadow_size = 0
brightness = 0.500000
contrast = 0.500000
gamma = 0.500000
configured = true
[Audio]

Then repeat step 5 with this command
attrib +r %appdata%\MKKE\options.ini
