Introduction
This guide will give you information on how to customize the responses on your in-game chat wheel. It will also give you instructions on how to change the key bindings associated with it.

Customizing the Settings
To access the chat wheel settings click on the cog wheel icon at the top left of the Dota 2 main menu.

From the settings menu select the Chat category on the left side. Once you've Chat selected click on Phrases at the top of the section.

From this screen you're able to view which phrases appear on your in-game chat wheel.

If you click on an existing phrase a popup box will appear. Within this box you're given a list of phrases you can replace the one you clicked on with. There are a lot phrases to choose from and they are all categorized.

Once you're done making your selections close out of the settings menu. Your choices will save automatically.
Using the Chat Wheel
Once you're done customizing the chat wheel you can test it out in game by holding down your Chat Wheel key, by default this is bound to Y. This can be changed by returning to the Chat category within the settings menu. This time select Keys at the top.

From this page you're able to adjust the key binding for your chat wheel, you're also able to set hot keys for each phrase on your wheel on the right side.

Once you've the chat wheel button held down in-game you'll see your chat wheel choices. Simply hold the button down and use your mouse to drag the ball towards the phrase you'd like to say. To say the command release the chat wheel button when the arrow is pointing towards the phrase you want to use.

Every phrase entered into chat will display an arrow icon to the left of it. This will let other players in the game know that it's a chat wheel phrase.
