LNER 'A4' - Garter Blue

Description
The A4 pacific was designed by Sir Nigel Gresley in 1935 to be the top-link passenger locomotive on the east coast. It was largely similar to the A3 class in terms of mechanics, however with external streamlining, this quickly became the flagship locomotive of the LNER.

The game's vanilla A4 with a good amount of tweaks and fixes to improve the model.

Changes:

Mesh tweaked to more accurately represent the class
Side valences added
Motion taken from vanilla A3 model
Reskinned to Garter Blue
Remove 'Mallard' name so you don't have 20 of the same engine
Nerfed power and T/E to better reflect the real engine
Increased speed to 112mph
Tender from vanilla A3 model

Thank you for starting to fix this engine! The vanilla meshes just looked blunt from the front! I can't wait to test this.

I agree that some further detail could not hurt, though.

Further thumbs up on the plan to work on articulated coaches. I'd love to see them. You might even consider going all Coronation with it.

Saw the Sir Nigel Gresely at York, in the Railway Museum a few months ago. It's currently undergoing an overhaul. Got some nice photos when I was there back in September.

I have started work on a 'Silver Jubilee' addition to this mod wich will include silver single chimney A4 and an articulated rake of coaches. So thats the plan anyway...

mesh looks fine texture and normal map could use some more details but its good to see more british stuff added

Would be nice if we got some LNER Gresley Teak coaches to use, i remember Train Fever had some but no one has bothered to port them over onto Transport Fever yet.

Would be cool to have matching coaches eventually. Preferably something really expensive so we don't overuse them.

Looks good. You've got quite a line up of GNR/LNER now in that last screenshot. Maybe you could add a double tender version of this in a future update.

Update: I have done a little more work to the mesh and the texturing, I imagine this will be a mod that I keep adding to as I also have plans to include silver, black, green and other such livery variations to the mod.
