Description


I've spent way too much time using the default HUD and I wanted something new, so I ended up creating this. It took me way more time than I anticipated, but it was fun trying something new.

Features:
- Modern looking HUD with health/ammo display
- Radar and compass
- Entity info (shows class, distance and health)
- Highly customisable crosshair (color, shape and size)
- Customisable colors
- Icons that light up when taking radiation, fire or poison damage
- Automatically disables the crosshair when using a SWEP with a custom crosshair

To-do list:
- Add custom beacons on the radar
- Radar refresh delay
- Weapon selection menu
- Vehicle speed display
- Custom killfeed
- Presets

Known bugs:
- None

Servers convars:
- drghud_allow_entityinfo 0-1 => whether or not players are allowed to use entity info display (enabled by default)
- drghud_allow_radar 0-1 => whether or not players are allowed to use the radar (enabled by default)
- drghud_radar_range [number] => radar range (default value 1500)
- drghud_radar_death [seconds] => how long is the player's last death position visible on the radar, set to 0 to disable and to any negative number to always display it
- drghud_compass_rotate [angle in degrees] => rotate the compass clockwise

Client convars:
Just use the customisation menu, it's easier this way.

Q&A:
Q: How to customise the HUD?
A: Go to Options > DrGHUD.

Q: This lags my game!
A: Set the blur to a lower value or disable it in the customisation menu. If that still doesn't work you can turn off the radar.

Q: Can I use this in other gamemodes than Sandbox?
A: Of course, but keep in mind it's been designed for Sandbox so there might be bugs that I won't fix.

Q: Is it compatible with DarkRP?
A: Read above.

Q: Can I edit this HUD?
A: You are able to edit it for your personal use (although I don't see why you would want to do that), but you can't sell or redistribute it.

It doesn't, if lag is too much of a problem you should probably use another HUD, I've stopped working on this one 2 years ago.

does drghud_allow_radar entirely disable the serverside code for it? Because it is lagging far too much to be used on a sandbox server.

Putting PVS aside, stuff like relationships is handled serverside, so if you want the radar to display relationships, you'll need serverside code anyway to send those to the client.

It's serverside because of that thing called PVS. It could be clientside instead but then the radar would only display entities which the player can see, which defeats the purpose of using a radar in the first place.

Causes major lag on server when alot of entities/constraints are spawned. update radar serverside function runs very poorly and im not sure why it is even serverside, this should be 99.9% clientside if not 100%.

Sorry for all the comments, but a god mode indicator and Buddha mode indicator would also be nice
