The people of Kenshi are in general agreement that the areas of the world populated by the Old Machines are very dangerous and should be avoided. Unfortunately, by default these areas are mostly barren and what few wandering enemies you discover tend to be rather harmless or slow. A character with a pair of sandals and a few points in athletics can easily make the trip to the scrapyard in order to access the most powerful gear available right from the start. The most dangerous part of the visit is the weather...

This mod aims to make these areas more dangerous. Iron Spiders have been given a larger detection radius and will also often be accompanied by smaller lighter Scout Spiders. These aren't quite as deadly and are significantly less durable than regular Iron Spiders. However, they are very fast and quite capable of chasing down runners. Stopping to engage them will give their slower cousins more of a chance to catch up, making them have the potential to actually be dangerous. Areas such as the floodlands and the deadlands can generate the large roaming packs of security spiders that you find in other locations. These will also now include contingents of scout spiders, as can the guard groups found inside of ruins.

The rare hostile high skill broken skeletons that you could sometimes run into are more common and can also include sniper varieties with high powered crossbows. Rarer groups of these rogue machines can also spawn together instead of solo.

Old Machines are now friendly to Skeletons and will coexist better.

For best experience, combine this mod with Seth Knight's Scarier Security Spiders mod.

If you do manage to be allied with skeletons, they wont attack me anymore, still hostile and if im not careful my rangers will aggro them.

Yeah, i think you've got some numbers wrong then, those things slaughter entire groups before the iron spiders even get a chance to look at them.

I'm super lazy to maintain another branch but you can freely edit the relations to undo those changes if you want to do that. They exist so you can't train in some of the nastier groups of robots into friendly skeletons (intentionally or not) and have them fuck everything up.

Could you make a lite version of this mod that doesn't make skeletons allies with ancient robots? My main traveling group is skeletons (no food), and having old robots be freindly makes these zones easier than they were before.
