The Intro!
Sir, You Are Being Hunted is a fun, survival "horror" game. it keeps your blood preassure high, your heart rate up, and is always throwing surprises at you.
There are a large amount of startling enemies in the game, and this guide will hopefully tell you everything you need to know about them to survive on the acapellago.

I get most of, if not all of my information off of the wiki, and some parts of this guide are copied directly from it. If parts are copy and pasted from the wiki I will say so, but unless I say otherwise, then everything else is in my own words.

Here is my source, and the wiki I refferred to and will too reffer to throughout the guide: https://siryouarebeinghuntedwiki.com/wiki/Home
All images and info supplied by the wiki.

In the GAME OPTIONS there is an option to change the Robots' visor color, the default is red, and change it as you like, but I find Lime Green to be the easiest to see from afar.
The Hunter!
The Hunter is the most common enemy found in the game, they can be found roaming the landscape, guarding towns/buildings, and pieces of The Device.
They are sometimes accompanied by Dogs.
Sometimes hunters will fight other robots, the more Hunters which are in one area, the higher the chance of this occurring.
They often cannot be outrun, and you must almost always resort to either fighting them, or hiding.

COMBAT

Hunters use shotguns, which can be devastating at close range, but often miss at longer ranges, they fire two shots, and then have a reload period, and have quite a long range of vision.
Hunters are usually in patrols of 2-5 (depending on game progress), but almost always appear in larger, more dangerous groups later on.
Hunters cannot fire while caught in ManTraps.

I suggest using an Axe to fight Hunters, as you will be seeing a lot of them, and you'd better save your ammo for the more dangerous enemies later on.

I suggest dodging around The Hunter(s), making them waste their two shots of ammo, and then hitting them twice with the axe, which will kill them.
You can easily take on two hunters with an axe who are in close proximity of each other, as when they are hit they are shortly stunned. Hunters do not have very predictable actions, sometimes when you hit them they are stunned, and then run away, sometimes they continue to aim at you; usually they reload their shotgun after firing two shots, but sometimes they can fire even 4 shots without reloading. If they are aiming at you, they can shoot.
Another useful thing to know, is that the Hunter will have some delay firing their shots if they have not at first seen you. Say you run into the sight of a Hunter, the Hunter would then take aim at you for around 2 seconds, and then shoot. If a hunter has seen you, and aimed at you (and the enemy marker above their head has turned red; if you have enemy markers enabled) before, and you do something such as duck behind cover or hide from them, then when you come into their line of site again they will shoot at you instantly. This means that you should make up your mind about what you're going to do to the Hunter ahead of time, and try not to be seen in the mean time. Because of this, it makes baiting out their first shot quite easy, leaving them with (probably) one shot left before they have to reload. Although, be wary if you come at them with an Axe after they have already seen you, as you will be closer to them, and moving straight for them, and they will shoot you instantly.

They are killed by the following:
Axe - 2 Hits
Shotgun (Close) 1 Hit
Shotgun (Far) 2 Hits
Rifle - 1 Hit
Revolver - 2 Hits
Blunderbuss - 1 Hit

LOOT
Killed hunters can be looted for Shotguns (the gun will sometimes be broken), shells, Bandages, Raw Meat, Mints, Blackberries, and occasionally Fine Game.

At the very beginning of the game, next to the stones, a dead hunter can be found with a Pie, some Bandages, a pair of Binoculars.
(I copy and pasted the LOOT section directly from the wiki)

The Hound!
Hounds can usually be found accompanying a group of Hunters.
A Hound randomly selects a Hunter to be it's master, it then follows them around the island.
Hounds have greater awareness than Hunters, and can spot you from further away. If yo uare detected then the Hound will begin to bark, alerting Hunters and other Robots to your position, and then attack you.

COMBAT
Hounds can move faster than a running player and will attempt to chase you down. If a Hound gets near then it triggers a knock-down and you will be pinned to the floor. Whilst pinned you cannot move, but can still seem to use items. The Hound will bite you whilst you are pinned. While the damage seems to be small, a bite can trigger bleeding making Hounds quite dangerous. Being pinned also gives the slower hunters a chance to catch up to you.

Another almost foolproof method to deal with them if you have a ManTrap is to place the trap and then back up a bit and keep moving side to side to keep the trap between you and the hound. It will spring the trap and then you can walk up and dispatch it easily.

Hounds are faster than a running player and will chase you.
If a Hound gets too close to you then it will knock you down, doing small damage, but potentially making you bleed, while you are knocked down you are vulnerable for nearby Hunters to shoot you.
Hounds will be killed by one hit of any weapon.
I suggest using a Mantrap on Hounds, place one down, and then trap it, leaving it out of the battle while you fight the nearby Hunters which almost always accompany it.
A risky way to kill a Hound is by hitting it with your Axe as soon as it tries to tackle you, it will be killed, and you will be knocked down for a short period of time, but the timing is important to get.
I suggest saving your ammo for Hounds, since they will be killed by one hit of anything and can be a nuisance if they are left alive.

Hounds can sometimes be found alone in a forest standing still, if this occurs then simply sneak up behind it and kill it.
You can sneak up (crouching) behind a Hound without being detected by it.

The Baloons!
Fun Fact: If you look closely at a Balloon, there is a Robot in its basket, looking outward. If you aim directly at the basket and shoot with any projectile weapon, the robot is likely to fall out, with full death animation and rag-doll effects. This, however, does not seem to affect the Balloon in any meaningful way, and it will continue along its randomized path with its searchlight still moving, still able to detect the player. This is likely due to the lack of resources to program a consequence for the pilot's demise, but may also imply that the Balloon itself is an autonomous enemy.

Additionally, the searchlight on the balloon can be shot out. It repairs itself after some time.

The Landowner!
The Landowner is a huge robot wihich will constantly stalk you.
He comes equipped with a cane and two dogs to accompany him.
The Landowner is extremely slow, and can easily be beaten in speed even by walking.
The Landowner will slowly walk around an area of the island until he spots you, when he sees you he will follow you.
Once he sees you he will always follow you, you cannot hide from him as after you are seen he will always know your location.
If he gets close enough to you he will send out a shockwave with his cane, and then stab you, killing you.
The Hounds which follow him are not to be worried about, as if they are in close enough range to attack you, then he is too probably, which is game over.
The Landowner cannot be killed, and the only way to get rid of him is to travel with a boat.
One is on every island.
He makes a very distinct sound from the other Robots, especially Hunters, so he will not sneak up on you...most likely.

Quote taken from the wiki directly:
UPDATE: From scattered anecdotal evidence, it may also be possible to escape the Landowner by leading him through an area which is occupied by one of the more self-serving robots, namely the Poacher. It may also be possible for the Squire to be provoked by him, and occasionally even Hunters have been seen firing at him in the midst of larger 'robot vs. robot' battles, although the latter two are far less reliable. Superficially, this diversion seems to cause him to lose interest in you, but proceed with caution, as it may well be easy for him to spot you again almost immediately.

The Bog Creature!
The Bog Creature (fan given name I believe) will attack the player if they are in the water for too long.
it whips you with it's tentacles dealing a lot of damage, plus giving you a bleed effect.
Sometimes The Bog Creature will snap out of the water randomly in different areas and flail it's tentacles around.
The Bog Creature is Invulnerable, and is not a real threat unless you get close to it, or are in the water.

The Poacher!
The Poacher is an enemy which usually appears later on on the second, or third island which you visit.

The below LOOT, and COMBAT sections were copied directly from the wiki.
COMBAT
Poachers carry the Blunderbuss and lay ManTraps in woodland areas. Some poachers may have Dynamite

Poachers patrol wooded areas, humming in a distinctive, high pitch and placing traps for any unsuspecting aristocrats and game. When caught in one of the Poacher's traps, the player will be immobilized and the Poacher will most likely be alerted to this fact. The Poacher will approach the player and fire his Blunderbuss at nearly point blank range, dealing anywhere from 75-100 damage, and more often than not, killing the player outright.

When venturing through territory patrolled by a Poacher it is highly recommended that the player carry Pliers to quickly escape any ManTraps. Note that the Poacher can also spot the player from a distance, but the damage from his Blunderbuss is less consistent at greater range.

LOOT
Poachers may drop their signature Blunderbuss (either functional or broken), Gunpowder and Shot, ManTraps, Pliers, possibly Dynamite in the future.

One tip...if you happen to see a ManTrap laying around and think to yourself "hey, I didn't place that there", and walk into it to see if anything will happen...just don't.

The Squire!
If a Squire catches you looting a building in the village, it will attack. Not only that, Squires become protective of any containers which are within the boundaries of the village, including destroyed robots. Looting items from a destroyed robot, picking a mushroom or red toadstool, or even picking up a killed pheasant within a Squire's village may cause it to attack

Squires do not spawn immediately, and will usually spawn later on in the game.
They are always found guarding villages. The Squire will not attack you immediately on sight, you can walk up to them, around the village, or even fighting enemies near them without them attacking you.
They will only engage in combat if A. You attack them, or B. if you steal items from the village (take anything out of containers in the towns, this also includes looting dead robots, picking mushrooms, or even killed game(animals)).

COMBAT

While in combat, Squires will fire off a barrage of rounds with their revolver, typically in 4 round bursts, though possibly up to 6 rounds at a time. Though the revolver does lower damage per shot, its higher accuracy and faster fire rate makes it a far greater threat to a Sir or Madam. A single burst of fire from a Squire can kill a Sir or Madam outright if all shots land.

If a Hunter shoots the Squire he will also be aggravated and attack them.
(COMBAT section copied directly from the wiki)

STRATEGY
(taken directly from the wiki)

Squires take significantly more firepower to take down; approximately four direct hits from the Shotgun, or six rounds from the Revolver and one Shotgun shell. When shot by a Squire, it causes severe flinching. Guerilla tactics are recommended when fighting a Squire, such as poking out around corners, shooting it once, and then retreating behind cover before it has time to react. This strategy is highly effective as Squires are slower moving than most enemies.

Another tactic to use if you are trying to get a revolver, is to find a Squire by itself, and sprint around while hitting it with a hatchet. It takes 6 hits to kill a squire this way. Do not try this if you have low health.

Because it takes more time and finesse to eliminate a Squire, it is recommended that you do not engage unless the area is clear of Hunters.

When stepping on a ManTrap, It will break, and the Squire will not be trapped.

As 2014, the Blunderbuss is a usable in-game weapon, and is ideal for destroying a Squire, having the capacity to render one inoperative with a single blast at point-blank range.

The nonaggressive nature of Squires also makes them easy prey for a dynamite toss, which will kill them instantly.

Note that Squires will NOT respond to distractions such as bottles or alarm clocks.

LOOT

Usually, the Squire will drop:

Revolver

Revolver Ammunition

Mints

On rarer occasions they have been known to drop:

Scanners

Maps

HEALTH:
Axe - 6 Hits
Blunderbuss - 1 Hit
Revolver - 6 Hits
Shotgun - 4 Hits
Rifle - 3 Hits
Dynamite - 1 Hit

The Rider!
This enemie's info was copied directly, word for word from the wiki

The Rider NPC is a robot, dressed in the traditional garb of participants in a British fox hunt, mounted on a horse, which has jet engines in place of actual legs. These NPCs damage the player by riding over them, burning them with the blast from their mount's engines. When one spots you, it makes a hunting horn noise (which sounds like a locomotive horn) then charges, it is very difficult (if not impossible) to dodge.

An effective way to survive being spotted by a Rider is to reach a village. By hiding behind houses, it is possible to use them as shields against the Rider's charge long enough for it to lose sight of the player. At this point, surviving the Rider is only a matter of hiding, which shouldn't be too hard in a village if the robot is alone.

One close-ranged shotgun blast, a rifle shot, a blunderbuss shot, a full round of revolver bullets or four hits with the axe is enough to take them out. Riders can drop scanners, a map, sticks of dynamite, various alcoholic beverages, dead animals, and even rifle ammo. It should be noted, however, that the rider's horse can withstand at least 2 rifle bullets before being destroyed, however the above damage statistics refer to a hit on the considerably more fragile rider itself, rather than its mount.

The Scarecrow!
This enemie's info was copied direcetly, word for word from the wiki as well.

The scarecrow is a mysterious robot that was added in the "Pumpkin" update. This fellow is the stuff of nightmares. He will be found randomly around the countryside swaying inconspicuously. However, if you get too close to it, the eyes will "turn on" and the red eyes show you the scarecrow is awake. While "awake" it will follow you by teleporting to your back if you look back at it, much like a weeping angel. Also, to make this teleporting heart-attack worse, it alerts nearby robots to your position. The only ways to ditch this nasty fellow is to stare at him and walk backwards until the eyes "turn off", or give the jerk a lot of axe to his creepy face. When killed, you can find A Good Read.

The Scarecrow does not do damage on its own; by itself it is completely harmless, but still quite scary. If the player finds a Scarecrow by itself, it can be be a good idea to kill it while there are no other robots around to hear it scream. It is possible to stand behind a scarecrow and not have it activate, as it seems to only do so if the player is in its line of sight. Scarecrows spawn most frequently in open fields, so pay attention to your surroundings when you have to move across open ground. It's very easy to miss them if you're not paying attention, and soon enough you could have one tailing you, with all his friends in tow.

(The health info available on the wiki read as followed)
Axe - 8 Hits
Rifle - 3 hits
(My, the Guide creator's note: While you can shoot the Scarecrow and kill it, I highly suggest saving your ammo and using an axe, or avoiding the enemy all together)

An "awake" Scarecrow:

The End!
This game may have been released 6 years ago, and it's rage long since dead, but I hope that at least one person can find use out of this guide.

I got all of my information off of the wikipedia for it, and copied some passages directly.

I hope this helps those of you who still play this game to learn more about the Robot's which roam the acapellago.
