To change the resolution follow these steps:

1. Find this folder: "C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\PAYDAY 2"
2. And there file: renderer_settings.xml
3. Open renderer_settings.xml with WordPad
4. Find these parts:
<d3d_device
adapter_index = "0"
resolution = "1920 1080"
windowed = "false"
refresh_rate = "120"
5. Replace the "resolution" and "refresh_rate" to your liking

Just disable steam overlay of Payday 2 beta.

1.Go to Steam library
2.Right click - Payday 2 beta
3.Properites - uncheck 'Enable Steam community In Game'

1. Try verifying the integrity of the game cache:

• Go to the "LIBRARY" section
  
• Right-click Payday 2 Beta and open "Properties"
  
• Click "LOCAL FILES" tab
  
• Click the third button "VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE..."

Steps to activate the skull mask:

Go to the inventory to the mask section and double click one of the empty mask slots.


Double click on the skull mask.

You need to buy a 2nd primary weapon like AK Rifle. After you have purchased a weapon, click on it and then "Modify Weapon".



Then you go to "Sight", there you can buy your Military red dot.

If you have accidently sold your pre-order stuff:

A quick reset of all your stats gives you back the Skull mask, the mask pattern ”I LOVE OVERKILL”, the color pattern red and black and also the red dot weapon sight.
Go to options and then "Clear Progress".

You can create a backup of your save files to keep your progress

Go to start, run then type %appdata%

Your save files are located in:

Appdata\local\payday 2\....\saves\

and

\Steam\userdata\....\246210\remote

Check if you have the latest stable release for your video drivers:

AMD: Catalyst 13.4
Nvidia: Nvidia 320.49

Nvidia:

* Right click your desktop
* NVIDIA Control Panel ->
* Manage 3D Settings ->
* Program Settings.
* Select Payday 2 Beta Launcher as the program then add it.
* Then 2. Select High Performance NVIDIA Processor.

AMD:

* Right click the desktop
* Select "Switchable Graphics"
* If the payday2 launcher shows up in the list click the button until it says "High Performance"
* Otherwise browse to the launcher, add the payday executable, set it to "High Performance"
* CLick "Apply"

Intel (at your own risk):

• Inserting this .dll into Steam\SteamApps\common\PAYDAY 2 Beta

• Use the control panel for your graphics cards to make sure the high performance one is always used for PAYDAY2, instead of the integrated one.

Change compatibility Mode:

• right-click payday2_win32_release and choose Properties (located in Steam\SteamApps\common\PAYDAY 2 Beta\)
  
• go to "Compatibility"
