~Enoshima Elactric Railway Enoshima line~
In 1902 Enoshima Elactric Railway start operation Kamakura-Fujisawa in Kanagawa. in now One of Famous sightseen "local" train line. Enoden is very characteristic railway, Going through very tiny town.
In now very many peaole go to ride Enoden, In vacation season, station controled the entry restriction. The waiting time to ride may exceed over 40 min some case. (If you encounter this situation, Use shonan monorail, JR line, Bus, or work to the next station.)
but it is after 1976 TV drama. Before 1970s Enoden was not popular. and 1960 Enoden abolition was also considered.
Enoden 305 only know train car the these days.

~Enoden series 300 train~ "same series all different"
Enoden was "tram" in Japanese low befour 1944. In 1950s Enoden (Enoshima Siteseen railway, name at that time), Train car and railline ware still left the tram. Enoden plan the upgrade to capacity in 1953. In 1954 series 200 start opration for test. Enoden confirmed Jacobs bogie for light weight and tiny curve. Enoden series 300 and 500 train start to build. (series 200 train upgrade to series 300.)
1954-1968, 6set 12car series 300 train build. They build the "upgrade the used car", and ”All Original vehicle are different". (without 302, 303 but Body defferent)
"305" set was last build series 300 car. Chassis is used from Keio but other all new build. It is only almost new car in series 300. 305s body is wider than chassis and hi position. 305 has bus type window and non window sill flat body, it is trend in these day.
series 300 have too many upgrade. 305 is a particularly lot of it.
Early days 305's headlight, there is 1 light on the Forehead. after update it change 2 light under position. and pantograph, bogie, motor, traction system all changed. So 305 is not original appearance in now.
305 is one of old train in Kanto region. and 305 run as the Enoden's face from now on...

I had a chance to ride the 305 when I lived in Yokohama a few times. I love the sound of the old motors and the jerkiness of the chopper controller. It’s especially nice to see how it was cobbled together from other train and bus parts at the time.
