⭐ How to play the PS1 soundtrack on the main menu
By Viandante
With this simple guide you can restore the original main theme playing on the title screen, the same way you remember it back then on consoles such as PlayStation 1.

Here's our beloved anthem

At the time of writing, this song doesn't seem to play on the Steam release of the game, in the sense that it isn't an option. That makes sense, but the track is still present in the game files so we can bring it back!

Here's the procedure

STEP ONE

  • For safety reasons, do a backup of C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Worms Armageddon\FESfx\menu-loop.wav. You can simply rename it to menu-loop-backup.wav.

STEP TWO

  • Now, copy
    C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Worms Armageddon\DATA\Streams\title.wav
    to C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Worms Armageddon\FESfx and rename it as menu-loop.wav

STEP THREE

  • ???
  • PROFIT!
... And here's the credits
Special thanks to Team17 for developing this outstanding game which holds up to this day with a never dying community that still polishes it. A shout-out to Deadcode and CyberShadow too, for maintaining it in perfect conditions, with plenty of well appreciated improvements.

Now, go and kill sum wurm.

Thank you, I always wondered why it sounded so quiet. We just need the intro cinematics now

It should be pointed out - the PC version NEVER had the music looping in the menus. It was used on the title screen only. The PSone and Dreamcast versions were the only versions that had this music playing on the menus. But this is a nice little way of recreating the experience for people who first played WA on one of these consoles.
