Description
p0kiehl's Improved Specialists
FULLY COMPATIBLE WITH GATHERING STORM!

Specialists in Civilization VI provide lackluster yields. In order to make them more useful and buff Tall play, this mod increases the yields of specialists and adds specialist slots to districts that did not previously have them (such as the Entertainment Complex).

Specialist Yields
  • Holy Site +3 Faith
  • Campus +3 Science
  • Encampment +2 Production, +3 Gold
  • Harbor +2 Food, +3 Gold
  • Commercial Hub +6 Gold
  • Theater +3 Culture
  • Industrial Zone +3 Production
  • Entertainment Complex/Water Park +2 Culture, +3 Gold
  • Government Plaza +1 Science, +1 Culture, + 1 Production, +2 Gold
  • Diplomatic Quarter +1 Science, +1 Culture, + 1 Production, +2 Gold
  • Aqueduct +3 Food, +1 Production
  • Neighborhood +2 Food, +1 Production
  • Aerodrome +2 Production
  • Canal +2 Gold, +2 Production
  • Dam +2 Food, +2 Production
  • All changes apply to any unique district replacements.

New Specialist Slots
  • Aqueduct 2 for the district
  • Entertainment Complex 1 for each building
  • Water Park 1 for each building
  • Neighborhood 1 for the district, 1 for each building
  • Aerodrome 1 for each building
  • Government Plaza 1 for each building
  • Diplomatic Quarter 1 for each building
  • Canal 2 for the district
  • Dam 1 for the district, 1 for each building

All changes apply to unique district replacements.

Gathering Storm: Specialist Yields from Buildings
  • Specialty districts - all Tier 3 buildings add +1 to the respective yield of the district's specialists (unchanged, except this mod adds +1 Gold to the Harbor and Encampment specialists as well).
  • Aerodrome - Hangar adds +1 Production to specialists.
  • Dam - Hydroelectric Dam adds +1 Food and +1 Production to specialists.
  • Entertainment Complex - Stadium adds +1 Culture and +1 Gold to specialists.
  • Government Plaza - Tier 3 Government Plaza buildings add +1 Science, +1 Culture, +1 Production, and +1 Gold to specialists.
  • Diplomatic Quarter - Chancery adds +1 Science, +1 Culture, +1 Production, and +1 Gold to specialists.
  • Neighborhood - Food Market and Shopping Mall both add +2 Food to specialists.
  • Water Park - Aquatics Center adds +1 Culture and +1 Gold to specialists.

Compatibility
Fully compatible with Better Coastal Cities and Water Tiles.

I created this mod to buff Tall play and improve gameplay balance.

I recommend you use it with my other mod, Production From Population. It also pairs well with Rebalanced Mines.

@Temida they are not. This mod is for the vanilla game while JNR's is for his Urban Complexity pack. This mod would probably work with that mod without crashing but it would only buff the vanilla buildings (not JNR's new ones) and the buffs would stack with whatever new bonuses JNR has put onto the vanilla buildings.

Does this work with Specialist Progression by JNR and all of his other mods?

@DB I've tried that table. For some reason, it doubled the specialist GPP value I put in. So it "works", but only if you want specialists to produce even numbers of GPP.

For those (like me) who want to play with this mod AND "District Expansion: Aqueduct", without the bonus stacking you can download

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TJkvFQxb6O3KWOQDoLIw8YDquGYcOigU/view?usp=sharing

and put it into : Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\289070\1651756807

This will remove the bonuses from "Improved Specialists" towards aqueduct. ( i just quoted the corresponding lines)

Is it ok for u p0kiehl ?

Hi p0k!

Today I noticed this table in the database. Have you tried it?

SELECT DistrictType,
GreatPersonClassType,
PointsPerTurn
FROM District_CitizenGreatPersonPoints;

Kind regards,
