[5 Slot] Animate Workshop Showcase

This guide is going to show you an easy way of uploading items to the steam workshop of any game you are eligible to upload items to, even with animated branding images. It also covers what can be done with them using the showcases.

Introduction

Not so long ago Steam has changed the workshop showcase from 5 squares of 150 x 150 pixels to 5 squares of 150 х 150.

Step 1

⠀Open up this link in your browser: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/edititem/767/3/

Step 2

The image must not exceed 2 mb.
To reduce the file size, you can use image compression services:
https://gifcompressor.com/ (GIF)
https://compresspng.com/ (PNG)
https://compressjpeg.com/ (JPEG)

Now that we have our five images, suitable size, it's time to upload.
Open this link in a browser: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/edititem/767/3/

Step 3

Upload your artwork, fill in the title and description, you can change the game you're going to upload the workshop item for by doing right click > Inspect Element and expanding the <Console>
Paste the following code into the console and send it by pressing Enter.

You can now close inspect elements, upload your image, and hit save. You'll be taken to a workshop page where it will tell you "Additional work required to complete this item". Just ignore this and redo the steps to upload the remaining four images.

Step 4

Once you've uploaded all images you wish to showcase, go edit your Steam profile.
In the showcases, select "Your Workshop Showcase" and simply add each image you've uploaded, in order.

If you have animations that you would like to delete, then you should follow the link.
