French Forces in Mali Campaign

Operation Serval was a French led campaign to retake Mali from Tuareg and Muslim Insurgency factions.

The campaign took place between 11 January 2013 – 15 July 2014.

You play as a French Commander tasked to retake the town of Kidal. You are in charge of a small french battalion and a large Malian army. You will be supported by your French army 'Capitaines'.

As the town harbours a large civilian population, and it is currently under the 'watch' of the United Nations (UN) you are prevented from using heavy assets such as artillery and airstrikes.

Currently due to a supply shortage in the desert (damn french army trucks) your reinforcements are delayed and supplies are scarce. Yesterday, you overheard on the radio that Boko Haram are planning to assault your Headquarters. You decide to take the initiative and retake the town of Kidal without heavy French reinforcements.
