Description
Mod allows taking control of AI civilizations. It also allows running test games automatically (AI controls all civilizations) for desired number of turns. Beta version.

Adds a new button to the top panel near the Civilopedia button that pops up the mod window (Alt+L hotkey).

What happens when the switch button is pressed

* Your current civilization will be controlled by AI including the rest of the current turn
* AI will take actions and will do what it wants and then ends the turn
* If Autoplay turns is set to something > 0 then this much turns ALL civilizations will be controlled by AI
* After AI played selected number of turns you will get control of the selected civilization (next turn if set to 0)
* Your original civilization will be under AI control until you switch back

If you close the mod window (hotkey ESC) while Autoplay is in progress the emergency autoplay stop is executed and you will take control of your main civilization or any available civilization.

Please note

* Save the games manually if something goes bad you will be able to restore your game. Autosaves created by this mod are overwritten on every switch.

* Use with caution.

* Do not load turn autosaves which was created by the game when the Autoplay was active because in some cases the game may start to autoplay itself unstoppable.

* Try not to switch to City-states, Free Cities and Barbarians it might end badly.

* I don't know what happens if you end the game with AI civilization, in general, it is better not to play AI civilization for long and switch back to your main civilization.


Some technical details

This mod uses functions that the developers of the game are using for their tests and it is pretty stable. I've played up to turn 500 without crashes periodically switching between major civilizations.

Is it possible to switch civilization on the SAME TURN, not the NEXT TURN?

Like if i switch to other Civ on Turn 1, i would play as other Civ on same Turn 1

But this mod makes me control other Civ only on Turn 2 if i switch on Turn 1. And so on.

It means i can't properly play as all civs simultaneously ><
As if i would play, for example, 12 civs one by one, then by time i switch to 12th civ, it would be 12th turn. Which means i haven't played first 11 turns as them.

Would be nice to have an option to not let your civ to be taken by UI.

As in, just to play as other Civ after you end turn, and then go back to your main Civ.

Hello, it seems that I've encountered an issue, and I'm not sure if you could take a look at what might have gone wrong. I enabled AI control around 300 turns, typically turning it off every 20 turns. Then, I manually handled the World Congress every 30 turns. I remember clicking on the world ranking a few times while watching the AI operate (I'm not sure if this is the issue, but I don't think it should be?). You can refer to the problem I discovered later: the world ranking has a bug, where the first few items display as unusable, and while diplomacy is displayed, my diplomatic score has surpassed the victory condition of 20 points, but I still haven't achieved victory, indicating that there is indeed an issue. I hope you could help me figure it out. Most of the mods I'm using are UI changes, with one being a cheat menu.

So, If I wanted to use this in conjunction with a unit-movement cheat mod, could I theoretically switch between civs and move their starting settlers to different locations, before switching back to my own civ to do the same, before actually progressing to turn 2?

Awesome mod! Quick question... why is my government stuck? I cannot open the government window or change my policies and can only end the turn via this mod because it wants me to change my policies. Is there any fix to this bc it only happened after I saved and loaded again which means all my progress before is corrupt.

For some reason this does not work. It just says the civilization that you switched from is making there turn forever.
