The hard hitting Dillian Whyte has been one of the most feared names in the current-day English Boxing scene. Born in Port Antonio, Jamaica, Whyte and his family moved to England when he was twelve, and trained in boxing along the way. He became a decorated kickboxer and European K-1 champion who also fought in MMA, known for his raw power and dangerous hooks.

By 2011, Whyte turned professional, scoring a long list of knockouts before gaining a title fight against Anthony Joshua in 2015. While he came up short, and suffered his first career knockout against Joshua, Whyte continued plugging away afterwards, defeating the likes of Dereck Chisora and Joseph Parker, looking once again for a chance to obtain gold. A victory in mid-2019 over Colombia's Oscar Rivas seemed to finally place Whyte in position to challenge for Deontay Wilder's part of the title, but a failed drug test afterwards took him out of immediate contention.
