Introduction

Following her rework, Star Breaker has taken up the name Star Baker and now functions as a supportive healing character. She can now heal characters by attacking them, forcing them to enjoy her wonderful cookies. Speaking of which, her hyper Star Baking Fun scatters dangerously delicious Visible Cookie traps around the battlefield for her new friends to enjoy.

Play Star Baker if:
  • You want to spread love, joy, happiness, and cookies.
  • You prefer supportive roles in other games.
  • Cookies > Pudding

Pros:
  • Never runs out of snacks.
  • Great at boosting game morale.
  • High burst healing.
  • Speedy star collecting.
  • She is friends with all the animals. You will never have to worry about 7gull again.

Cons:
  • Meanies will try to steal your cookies and you can't do much to stop them.
  • Cannot get wins at all due to passive.
  • Can't stop a snowballing opponent.
  • Being KOed will make you drop your cookies.
  • The boss is the biggest meanie of them all.

Character Theme

Unit Card

HP: 5 | ATK: +2 | DEF: 0 | EVD: 0 | REC: 5

Damage dealt to other units heals them instead.
For each 1 HP you heal to others, gain Lvl stars.
Common NPCs won't counterattack you.

Star Baker has solid defensive stats, now sporting neutral EVD thanks to all that sugar. That amazing +2 ATK is put to good use in combination with her passive ability. Any damage that Star Baker would deal in battle or with cards is turned into healing instead. While this makes getting KOs almost impossible (and why would you want that anyways you big meanie), you will be rewarded with stars for your efforts.

Additionaly, any healing Star Baker does for another unit, including NPCs, will give her her level in stars for each HP recovered. Keep in mind that you cannot heal over a character's max HP unless an effect states so and you will not receive stars for this missed healing. For example, landing a 8 damage hit against a character with 2 current HP and 5 max HP will only give you credit for 3 HP worth of healing. Therefore, attacking characters that are at full HP or overhealed will not benefit you.

Another thing to note is that, thanks to her second passive, she faces no risks from landing on standard battle spaces. NPC enemies can be healed just like players in combat, giving you stars and saving them from your bloodthirsty allies. The cookies will also pacify them, saving your health and making you a friend in the process. Although Robo Ball is a robot and cannot eat cookies, it appreciates your kindness all the same and will still not attack you.

Bosses on the other hand will attack you regardless of your gifts, so you should stay clear of them if you want to avoid taking damage. They do however have a massive HP pool and can net you a bunch of stars if you heal them when they are low. The boss AI is even smart enough to try and dodge your attacks for maximum healing.

Hyper Card

Star Baking Fun
Type: Event
Level Requirement: 1
Cost: 20 stars

Set "Visible Cookie" on 3-5 random panels.

Visible Cookie
Type: Trap
Level Requirement: 3
Cost: None

Heal to max HP plus 1 and skip your next turn. Does not affect the player who set this card.

Star Baking Fun scatters a bunch of Visible Cookie traps around the board. The amount defends on the size of the game board, with bigger boards getting more cookies. Unlike Invisible Bombs, Visible cookies are quite visible, although they look different from other traps. If an opponent finds one of these spinning cookies, they will be overhealed to 1 above their maximum health. The cookie is so delicious that they will spend their entire next turn enjoying it and be unable to act. In addition, you will receive stars from your new friend based on how much they healed as thanks for the treat.

Unfortunately, Star Baker can be a bit of a klutz. If you land on one your own cookies, she won't notice and will step on it, ruining it and making it unfit for human consumption. Try not to make her sad and save your cookies for someone who needs them.

Stages of the Game
Level 1-2
Early in the game, you should focus on drawing cards whenever you can. As players start accumulating damage, you will need to have the means to catch up to them and defend yourself from attackers. Stars are important as well as you need them to level up. Bonus panels will net you more stars than battle spaces, but healing the NPCs will make it harder for your opponents to obtain wins.

Level 3
Your hyper is now online and the other players have access to most of the good battle cards. Depending on the aggression levels of your opponents, you may want to hold off on using Star Baking Fun. Since you need to heal 7 health at level 3 to make a profit, you may want to hold off until you have access to President's Privilege.

Level 4-5
More of the same, but you can now play President's Privilege to aid in getting more Visible Cookies on the board. In addition, players should now be giving you quite a few stars from landing on them, so play them as you start making up the stars.

The Boss
These guys are jerks. While you can heal them if you land on the space, they will still still attack you and have a good chance of KOing you. They still appreciate your love though, as they will evade your attacks for maximum healing. Only give them cookies if you have the defensive cards to back yourself up. Remember that you cannot KO them, so it will be up to the other players to take them down if you don't want to deal with them any more.

Deckbuilding Overview
Ranking
I use letter ranks to rate cards. Cards are sorted by type, then alphabetically within each tier. This is by no means an absolute measure of how powerful each card is. Feel free to use any cards you want to fit your strategy, although I advise against bringing F cards. When it comes down to it, play what you think will be the most fun for you.

S: Necessary. Godlike synergy or required for the character to function.
(Note: Not every character has one of these.)

A: Powerful. A high priority card that will usually be in your deck.

B: Very Good. Not necessary, but should always be considered.

C: Average. Nice cards to have, but might be outclassed. Also includes situational cards.

D: Poor. Helps your opponents more than it helps you.

F: Awful. You are actively hurting yourself by bringing these cards.

This is an amazing way to collect stars in the late game if you are playing a trap based deck with Mimyuu's Hammer. It can quickly get you back in the game after a KO. If you aren't playing traps, it's more of a C rank card thanks to your hyper.
Mom's Spaghetti
At level 3, a perfect use of this will net you 17 stars. This is by far Star Baker's best healing card to play, but it can also be problematic if one of your friends plays it first. You can't get stars from healing if everyone is already healed. I would almost always always bring at least one of these, but understand that 2-3 will impact your star collecting in exchange for a boost to your survivability.

Skittles-Colored Oval
This defensive option is best suited against units with low ATK or when you are at low HP. Use it to avoid small amounts of damage or as a last resort to stay alive.
Ribbits
This is the most consistent of your defensive options, although it cannot save you when at 1 HP, it is useful anywhere up to that point and has the added bonus of helping keep your friends alive so you can heal them. Use it to reduce large amounts of damage.
Squadala! We're off!
The unfortunate truth is that there are a lot of meanies out there. This card is one of the few ways you can get them off your tail. Use this to warp everyone randomly and hopefully they will end up away from you.
Skedaddle!
One of the best ways to put some distance between yourself and a bully. Also lets you get home quicker and avoid the more dangerous parts of the board.
Jyara Jyara
For a fun way to induce a sugar coma, eat a cookie every time a character mentions jingling stars or money.
Amber Alert
Reverses your travel direction to make it so meanies can't follow you. You will also run into players more often, allowing you to heal them without having to worry about being attacked later.

Healing Factor
A more situational defensive option for Star Baker. This one gives you the most sustain when you are at full health, but is also the most expensive and becomes less and less useful as your health gets lower. Save this one for defense when your health is high so you don't take too much damage.
INSERT DONG REFERENCE
If you do end up getting caught by a bully, this will get you back into the game faster. It will not recover the stars you lost, but instead give you the opportunity to start getting them back sooner.
Pot of Greed
Store Manager and maybe Mei are literally the only characters that don't want this card.
Shifu and Yukito When?
Gives you the power of FUTURE VISION when it turns out there weren't any hyper cards left in the deck. Play when there are two cards left in the deck for maximum efficiency.
Stop! You Violated The Law!
Force players to stop on your cookies. Make sure that the payoff is worth the cost first!
BOGO Free Card Bro!
Makes all other cards you play until your next turn free. Most of Star Baker's Cards are either already free or cheap, but it is great when paired with Star Baking Fun.
Running in the 90s
Shift into maximum overdrive and move a little bit faster. Similar to dash, but a much smaller effect over time rather a big burst of speed.
No Socks Allowed
Since you will be using your hyper as soon as you get it usually, you aren't at risk of getting your hand destroyed by this. The heal even gives you some stars!
GTFO Mine
If the game ends, your new friends will go home and you will be left all alone. Make sure this never happens by planting this tap on their home bases. If you prevent them from getting normas, the game will never end and you will all be friends forever.
Mimyuu's Hammer Time
Cash Cache
Putting this trap on your base was a smart decision. It will increase in value as the game goes on, practically giving you a free star norma aaand it's gone.

Opposite Day Inducer
Makes it hard for you to heal players due to giving you -2 ATK, but also makes it hard for them to damage you. A great card to play against bosses, as the AI will make them block to take maximum damage healing.
Block! Block! Block! Block!
Pretty much guarantees that you will survive most fights as long as your health isn't unreasonably low and Accel Hyper, Reverse Attribute Field, Accelerator, or Another Ultimate Weapon aren't involved. Since you don't get a counterattack, you will not heal if you play this.
I Am Rubber
You are glue. This card will deal heal others but does damage to you.
It's Not You Its Me
Ara Ara!
Yeet your hand away and get new one. Great when for getting useful cards when your hand is fulled with another player's battle cards.

Did I use yeet right? I'm still learning these young people slang words...
Not Cookie
Cookies are the best, but after baking them all day, sometimes you just need to sit back, relax, and have something different. This card will fully heal you for free, but is only useful in the late game.
You Are A Pirate
Steal a card from someone who is trying to take you down. Hopefully you will get something to defend yourself or escape.
Thighs in the Skies
Makes your healing harder to block while giving you a little easier time for doging things. The high star cost is painful though.
Life! Death! Life! Death! Life! Death!
Revive one of your downed friends and heal them back to full health for a bunch of stars. Use with President's Privilege or Play of the Gods to get around that steep star cost.
Presto Changeo Hando Rearrangeo
This card has the potential to force you to give away your hyper, but can also allow you to trade worthless cards for useful ones from other players' hands.
Two Worlds One Cup
Changes the battlefield, potentially giving you a safer board to traverse. This card also makes boss spaces go away for a few turns.
Oh My Frenemy
Summons the boss. Necessary for builds that revolve around keeping the boss healed, but otherwise a risky way to ensure that your friends are always hungry.
I Ordered a Lead Salad!
Stop those nasty battle cards before your opponent can play it. Can also be used to prevent people from trapping your base.
Trench-Coat Commerce
Hey kid! Want to buy some pudding? Or maybe some cards? I got booster packs real cheap. You can't even get some of these cards in the stores yet. We got One with Nothing, The Inexperienced Spy, Silverback Patriarch, all the good ones. They're 15 stars each and I got enough for you and yer friends.
Ipsum Instantarium!
Now the traps... are over there! Move your randomly placed cookies somewhere more useful or move a trap on your base somewhere less threatening.
Soy Sauce Surprise
A mediocre trap that makes the victim discard a card. Also, what do sea urchins taste like?
I'm Out! I'm Checking My Email!
Exchange (Not the Gift One)
You can make some amazing comebacks with this card, but it is very risky to have. You never know if you will still be behind when someone finally lands on it and you don't want someone else playing this.

Allow Us to Introduce Ourselves
Summons a whole pack of Robo Balls to annoy the victim or feed a bully. Benefits you most if different NPCs show up for each of the battles.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Steal hearts not cards. If you must, you can place this on your home base to bamboozle some fool thinking they're going to get your Piggy Bank.
Obliviate
Makes it tough for opponents to play cards while letting everyone else see what they have. You can use this to check and see if it is safe to heal someone or not.
Tragedy in the Dead of Night
This card already has such a good name. What was I supposed to come up with? Oh wait, I'm supposed to be writing a review. Uh.. Steal cards from people. Place it on your base to trick people into thinking it's a Piggy Bank. It doesn't hurt you, but steals a card from them.

Midget Mafia
What kind of jerk extorts people for money? (Real talk though, your passive overrides this effect, so it's actually a good way to increase your healing without putting your life at risk.)
ANOTHER DONG REFERENCE
Either gives you a helpful defense card or a self-harming offensive card. Why not just play Rbits or Rainbow-Colored Circle in your deck instead?
ABABABABAAAAA
Share your torment with others by copying the effects of your next drop panel to the opponent with the most stars. They are your friends after all. They should be supporting you in these tough times.
That Song At the End of Meta Nightmare
All that running will put the user in the mood for cookies. To bad that you won't be able to catch them. Using this yourself will put you at risk of overexerting yourself, but will also let you get home faster. That 30 star cost is pretty steep though.
Cookie Cannon
While healing one of your friends sounds great, this card costs more stars than you receive for playing it. It is better when played by another player, but only marginally.
Ditto
Star Baker wants to avoid getting copyright strikes against her growing Youtube channel, so you should avoid playing this card.
Like Getting a Whopper at McDonalds
You read the card. This is Saki's Cookie. Bake your own damn cookies. Dinner does it's job better and gives you stars.
Gamble Jr.
Get Jonathan to air drop cookies to your friends. Unfortunatly, Star Baker is a bit clumsy, and won't notice the falling cookie. If it hits her in the head, she will take 2 damage.
Get Over Here!
Make bullies grin, squishies cry, and introverts uncomfortable all in one card! This card can be very dangerous for you as baking for so many people at the same time will quickly wear out Star Baker and can get her KOed.
You Can't Just Program This Level of Excitement!
There are a lot of events that you don't want to play like Star-Blasting Light or Super All-Out Mode. This card can potentially force you to play these or allow an opponent to play them for much cheaper. It also lets your opponents steal your hyper.
No Events, Poppo Only, Training Field
Removes cards from the equation and forces your friends to rely on good old fashioned RNG.
Poppo Has Legs?!?
According to the 4KIDS dub, this game takes place in America. Therefore, tips are mandatory and the cookies have been replaced with jelly donuts as to not confuse younger viewers.
I Need More Power!
Most of your cards are a low enough level that this won't help you much.
Cooties
Holding this will cause people to think you are a witch. Inquisitions are time consuming, so don't bring this. If you draw someone else's copy, give it the voodoo shuffle by drawing until your hand is overflowing and discarding it.
Salt?
We don't need any more salt in these cookies. There's plenty of that around here from the RNG.
Why Does Arthur Have Four Ears?
If you can get this down early game, great! If you draw this any other time, it is a dead card. Bring something useful and leave the toys to Arthur.
The Panels Are Lava
Makes it a little easier to heal but much harder to stay alive.

Fun fact: Tripling the baking temperature will not make your cookies cook three times faster and will probably burn your house down.
A Wild Seagull Appeared!
On the one hand, your friends will get some exercise, putting them in the mood for cookies. On the other hand, the NPCs will attack you first before you get to heal them. This will make them feel bad once they taste your cookies, so play this at your own digression.

Roll For Crit
This healing is quite excessive and will be very painful for you and your friends if a meanie gets a hold of it.
THREE IS TOO MANY
Has the same problems as Accel Hyper, but can be played earlier in the game. It's alright for whetting appetites, but is dangerous when used against you.
Binary 101
For the player player who thinks having six sides on their die is too complicated. That player is also probably dead right now because they rolled a 1.
Thank You Sir, May I Have Another?
You can only heal so much before their gratitude KO's you. It is unlikely that you will be able to last 10 rounds of combat when you don't deal any damage. Besides, eating that many cookies in one sitting is bad for your health.
OH GOD PUT ME OUT!
NO! Proper temperature control is one of the most important fundamentals of baking perfect cookies! If either player plays this, cookies will burn!
Shambush
Only useful for meanies who want to forcibly take a second helping of cookies. If you are willing to risk it, you can use this to get behind characters that are attacking you.
Mentlegen's Battle
You can't heal people if they are already at full health, but they can still use this to attack you!
Hippie Healing Array
Prevents your friends from receiving your trap-based sweets like Mimyuu's Hammer and Visible Cookie. Play We Are Waruda if you are worried about traps on your base.
Summer Wars
Make cookies not war. Two servings of cookies is a bit excessive anyways. Remember, cookies are a sometimes snack.
That Card Only Kiriko, Iru, and Syura Use
While this does put everyone in the mood for cookies, it also makes it hard for you to heal them without succumbing to their gratitude and needing to take a nap.
I Hate Krila
Burns all your cookies to ashes, causing you to faint from the humanity.
Oh Boy Here I Go Killing Again
Encourages uncouth behavior that we do not support.
I Only Drink Diet Blood
Infringes on your healing while doing literally nothing for you but drain your health.

This trap-based deck seeks to collect stars using Completion Award in conjunction with Mimyuu's Hammer, Brutal Prank, and Star Baking Fun. Be extra careful with this deck, as you do not have any defensive cards whatsoever.

Who to Watch Out For
Bullies and Offense Characters

Be careful around these characters. Their gratitude can be a bit overwhelming and can get you KOed if you are worn out from baking. Only heal them if you are prepared to take a beating or they are willing to play nice.

Flying Castle

Whoever drives this thing must really like cookies! Not only does it have a ton of health, but it's inability to counterattack tends to draw a lot of unwanted attacks. Your cookies will not go to waste and you are at no risk of rough housing from this big friendly building. Follow it around and make sure to give it plenty of cookies.

Kiriko

Kiriko is on a special diet due to her battle card addiction, so Star Baker will refuse to give her any cookies for her health's sake. That won't stop Kiriko from trying to take them by force whenever possible, as "[she's] a damn doctor and can eat whatever [she] damn well pleases." Try to keep your distance from her, as your healing is completely useless against her passive. Although she can't eat your visible cookies, she can still land on them and lose a turn. Her hyper Final Surgery will KO anyone at 1 HP, so make sure to keep people healed. This match-up is between two characters that shut each other down, so your victory will depend on the others in the game.

Lone Rider

This guy has places to go and has no time for cookies. How sad. Even Dash!, Sprint, and Accelerator combined aren't fast enough to catch this guy once he gets going. The only way you will be able to show him the joys of baked goods is to obtain Immovable Object or Witch's Hair Lock from a blue chest and force him to stop long enough for you to engage him. There's even an achievement for this because its so hard to pull off.

Natsumi

After having her niche taken over by Star Baker, Natsumi has revealed her true nature and now hunts players down mercilessly with her knife. You will have to bake double-time in order to save your friends from this monster. Watch out for her hyper Killing Time, as you risk losing your new friends if you haven't been keeping up on your healing.

Robots

Robots can't eat cookies, so you can't heal these characters. These guys also aren't cool like NPC Robo Ball, so they will attack you and try to steal your stars. Avoid these meanies and focus on healing the other players.

Torbjörn

This Swedish chef is cooking up a smorgasbord of hurt for anyone unprepared. Try to use your hyper as much as possible in this match-up, as everyone will be feeling the heat as long as his turret is left standing. His hyper Molten Core will make an area of the map deal major damage to anyone who walks over it. If you stay safe and heal your friends plenty, you should come out on top.

Conclusion
Thanks for reading!

In case you haven't figured it out yet, this is a jape. Happy April Fools!
