DLCs:
West Rhine: Koln - Koblenz Route Add-On
The Rhine Railway: Mannheim - Karlsruhe Route Add-On
European Loco & Asset Pack
************************

Szenario: Standard
Dauer: 48mins (+/-)

ENGLISH:

Scenario: Standard
Duration: 48mins (+/-)
Difficulty: Expert (red) => You should be experienced to react on signals, do some shunting, follow the tasks precisely your dispatcher gives you and most importantly drive and operate the DB BR 155 (otherwise I recommend to perform some "test miles" to get a feeling how this loco accelerates and brakes).

In this little series you drive a DB BR 155 and have to complete quite a couple of tasks on your way from Cologne to Koblenz.
As you are quite slow with your freight train (max 105kph) you don't have much of a priority compared to the much faster passenger trains. So, if you like to be "busy" all around freight then you may give this series a try.

Note: All trains are fictional and do not follow a real timetable, but are just for entertaining purposes.

Part-1: You started early in the morning in Hanover and are now waiting at a signal to cross the river Rhine, then pass the main railway station of Cologne and drive to a yard quite close to deliver your freight. With a new load you proceed to get to Huerth where additional waggons needs to get picked up, before you finally get to Bonn where part-1 will end.

Hi David, Many thanks for the flowers... great to read that you even drove it a 3rd time now.... and I wouldn't be surprised if you have seen little details which you may have overlooked before. Regarding AI it's all about planning and then (countless) testing to ensure that the player never ends up in a dead-end situation. With regards to my creations, you are getting the most out of it when you always aim to drive as close to the line speed as possible.
Hope you will enjoy the 2nd part as well.... Best regards, Coasty

Hi again, Coasty! As I intimated yesterday evening, I have driven this Part again this evening! I enjoyed it SO much yesterday! The AI is absolutely fantastic, and how you get it all to run so perfectly is a complete wonder to me --- but you are so successful with this! Thank you again for all the care that you take so that we don't get AI crossing the path and AI collisions, etc., etc. I want specially to mention that I liked all the track-side construction activity that was going on on the right at one of the first stations (can't remember the name!) --- extremely well done! Thanks again for the lot! And kind regards, David.

Hi David, Great to read that you drive this little series again. The BR155 is my favourite German loco, but indeed, it needs a few miles to get familiar with it. You need to be patient and do NOT brake as long as the tap control is not down to "0" - then you shouldn't get any need to reset the tap control.
Once familiar, this loco is really a dream to drive, but I have to admit it's easy to say for me as I have run this loco for several thousand miles :-)
I really feel pleased and honored that you drive my creations more than just once AND I of course really appreciate to get a feedback, which more and more doesn't seem to be common for the users, to give a feedback (good or critical) to the creator. Hope you will enjoy part-2 again as well and I'm looking forward to hear from you. Best regards, Coasty

Hi Coasty! In going again through my portfolio of scenarios, I have reached your "In the West" scenarios and I have just thoroughly enjoyed driving Part 1. I've enjoyed it so much that I'm going to drive Part 1 all over again tomorrow evening! I just want to savour all the AI activity, especially around Cologne. I think I was concentrating too much on my driving this evening!! But you do have to get used again to driving the BR 155, with its tap changer (and sometimes needing to reset the tap changer)! Thank you SO much for all the work in producing this, especially with all the AI. As I said the last time, you are the MASTER when it comes to producing scenarios --- the overall quality is outstanding! My kind regards, David.
