SWD-12D "Reshiram" SSTO

Description
This simple yet pragmatic SSTO, using a pair of "Whiplash" jet engines and a pair of "Dart" aerospike engines, is specially designed for carrier or science mode, so that you don't have to waste 1000 precious science points on an RAPIER engine for an SSTO. This craft is capable of delivering medium amount of Kerbals or cargo within the Kerbin system with little expense. Its own fuel at launch can only deliver the craft to LKO, and it will need to be refuelled to reach other celestial bodies. Once fully refuelled at LKO, the plane can have around 1900m/s of dv, which is sufficient for a round trip to the surface of Minmus or low orbit of Mun. While flying this craft, one should note to only use action groups to toggle engines, instead of staging.

This craft has two configruations.The one presented here is the "Passinger Config" with a crew cabin installed, which still has resonable payload capacity. One can easily switch to the "Full-Cargo Config" for maximum payload capacity (as shown in the last picture), by simply replacing the existing crew cabin and the shorter cargo bay with a longer cargo bay (thereby retaining the same length, and be sure to put the reaction wheel back into the cargo bay if you do so).

1t (Passinger Config);
3t (Full-Cargo Config).

Crew Capacity: 6 (Passinger Config); 2 (Full-Cargo Config).

Action Groups:
1. Jet engines;
2. Rocket engines;
3. Toggle docking port, cargo bay door, and solar panel;
4. Flaps (you may use flaps as airbreak);

Suggested Ascent Profile:
1. Take off at 60m/s, and hold pitch of 3 degrees above horizon;
2. Gently pitch up to 12 degrees when speed reaches 530m/s;
3. At the surface speed the 970m/s, gently pitch up to 20 degrees;
4. Activate rocket engines when surface speed stops increasing;
5. Cut off throttle when apoapsis reaches desired altittude;
6. Circulize.
