540 kW 1.7mm "Boxer" Railgun

Simple design meant to beat armor. I am no serious designer at this game but through fiddling with numbers and trial and error I have produced a design I feel proud to share. This is my first up load so after the facts listed below I will tell a short story of how this design came to be.

Low power consumption, lowish weight, high speed projectile, long range, relatively low cost and high fire rate.

Overview: The "Boxer" Railgun system fires a lightweight projectile at an very fast velocity with a reload speed fast for railguns. The game's physics engine is more refined than I thought, and the maxim of "Speed beats armor" is what makes this weapon effective against not only missiles but even capital ships. It is not a hammer like the Autofire I compare it against, but a pinprick that will go right through armor at a reduced energy cost.
