Overview

The narrator will give you every step to win any fight, or any situation.
The combat strategy is pretty straightforward : Use the shield, push away an attack,
then throw a few sword hits.

Once the game ended, you'll be able to start at a specific scene,
and gain any missed achievements.

Sadly, the 2 last achievements don't stack.
If you start with the hardcore mode, the normal-one will not pop.
Neither if you re-start at the last chapter... You'll have to start all over in the 2 difficulty modes.

Scene 01 - The hamlet

Just follow the girl.

Scene 02 - The smithy

Just follow the girl

Scene 03 - The fields

Just follow the girl.

🏆 Shut up, frog (missable) : Follow the frog after cutting the branches.

Scene 04 - The cave

Fight the bear.

🏆 First blood (storyline)

Scene 05 - The plains

Fight with some bandits.

Scene 06 - Edge of the whispering woods

Fight some wolves.

Scene 07 - The whispering woods

Fight some soldiers.

Scene 08 - The horseback chase

Follow the girl's instructions.

🏆 Gee up! (storyline)

Scene 09 - The brain-eater's bridge

Fight with a brain-eater.
The shield-push here is the the key.

🏆 On the defensive (hardly missable here) : Can be won earlier/after in almost any fight

Scene 10 - The fishermen's village

Fight the monster.

Scene 11 - The steppes

Fight some dogs, then some bandits.

Scene 12 - The ice mountains

Fight with a giant bird.

🏆 Mother (storyline).

Then run away as fast as possible into Louise's direction. Keep your distances with the soldier,
if you can hear his feet when he's close, you're probably doomed.

Scene 13 - The frozen lake

Don't run, keep a slow walk and just follow the girl.

Scene 14 - The marauder's grounds

Intercept a few incoming arrows with your sword. Don't use the shield.
Then fight the marauder.

Scene 15 - The highlands

Follow the bell, fight a wolf on the way.

Scene 16 - The monastery

Fight a bunch of soldiers.

Scene 17 - The forest of mist

Follow the monk, then follow the weird sounds.
Fight with a bear on the way.

Then fight the witch.
You can't use the shield to take any advantage against her.
Just attack her when she is screaming.

Scene 18 - The drylands

Just follow the girl.

Scene 19 - The horde

Fight a bunch of bandits.

Scene 20 - The seaside

Just run, then cut the rope straight ahead with the sword.

Scene 21 - The barque

Row, and avoid the arrow with the shield.

🏆 My little boat (storyline)

Scene 22 - The citadel's harbor

Just follow the girl, then fight a bunch of soldiers.

🏆 What?! (missable) : Walk around in the middle of the crowd.
You'll have to lose yourself, in the opposite direction of the girl, before the fight...

(French version) A guy (The voice of Perceval, from the french TV show Kaamelot) will distinctly call you, to play a game. Follow him, and listen to him, playing Sloubi alone.
Stay with him for a few seconds, without doing anything, then leave him for Louise.

(English version) : Some girl will sing Spice Girl's Wannabe.

Scene 23 - The rooftop chase

Just follow the girl, use the shield on incoming arrows.

🏆 Free-running (storyline)

Scene 24 - The citadel's dungeons

Follow the screaming guy, you'll hit a door.
Run multiple times against it.

Fight the guard with your own hands (obviously, no shield here).

Scene 25 - The guard room

Just follow the girl.

Scene 26 - The royal citadel

Fight a bunch of soldiers.

Scene 27 - The banquet hall

Fight Torque.
He can kill you in one hit, but he's pretty straightforward.

For some reasons, I found it easier to not use the shield,
and just strike it when he's making noise.

Also, I had some issues using the shield bush the first time (playing with a controller). You have to hold the right stick down do defend, and then quickly switch the right stick to "up". Just pushing it up at the right time doesn't work.

On scene 27, I had to use the shield push until when Thorke gasps for air, at which point I had to strike and my shield didn't help at all.

I'm not sure when exactly because I was blindfolded, but judging from the timestamp on the achievement, I'd guess so.

Maybe it's the english version. Did the Wannabe song unlock the achievement ?

I managed to do it walking slowly and checking with Louise basically every two steps.

Also, in the marketplace on scene 22, no one called me, I just wandered around until a lady sang Spice Girl's Wannabe.

Nope, sorry, not that I remember of.
I did it twice (for each run) and I don't remember having any trouble in this part.
If you find anything that could help, tell me. I'll add it to this walkthrough.

Do you have any tips for after the last geyser? Louise tells me to be careful, but to go "straight ahead", and then I fall to death. Kinda annoying have to go over the geysers (or geezers haha) every time...
