"Final "picked up" some chicks this past weekend! No, not from the local bar, but from Tractor Supply Company! Names are pending for 2, while Drumstick (bottom pale yellow) and Nugget (top middle beige) are decided. If you have never raised chickens you really should look into it. Plenty of information online. Takes very little time and money. Great learning experience for the family."

They are pets but to remind the kids they are food we try to use "chicken dish" names, sometimes, like with Dumpling and Pot Pie in the past. These pullets are for egg laying so not planning to cull them anytime soon. The other two are now Clover (dark brown) and Patches (patchy brown).
