Churchill Mk.III (A22)

The first major improvement to the british Churchill tank, featuring a new turret with a 6-pounder gun. It was also the first version to be produced in large numbers. While initial Mk.III tanks were just converted from earlier marks, the production models were upgraded with taller air intakes and catwalks covering the tracks. They fought mostly on North Africa, in Dieppe, El Alamein and Tunisia. Some were also exported to the Soviet Union as lend-lease vehicles.

Churchill Mk.IV (A22)

The most produced version of the Churchill tank, identical to the Mk.III except for the turret, which was welded instead of cast. Most were equipped with 6-pounder guns, but some were later rearmed with 75mm guns and referred to as the Churchill Mk.IV (75).
