gm_Stokelington_Staffs

Have not made a map for a while, so here is a new one, Stokelington, a small village in North East Staffordshire, known as the Staffordshire Moorlands, near the Peak District. Stokelington is halfway between Stoke on Trent and Leek in Staffordshire, with a population of 300 and bus services between Stoke, Leek, Cheadle and Biddulph.

Some features of this little village
St Helen's Church - Built in 1753 on a site where a chapel stood since 1422, this Georgian Parish Church is an architectural marvel in itself. It has some of the original features, such as the box pews, and the 3 decker pulpit, as well as it's West Gallery which contains the church's organ that can be played. In the tower are 6 bells that can be rung, being cast in 1989, and the original clock bell that can be struck.
The Pub - With a thatched roof, this good old Staffordshire brick pub is the perfect place for a drink, quite nice. Hmmm, fancy some of the local brews?
Village Hall - Of course, the community centre.
Shops - A butchers and a Post Office, as well as the village shops. Fancy having a butchers in a small village, apparently run by 'His Lordshit'. But.....fresh locally sourced meat, sounds tasty!
