Sniper is an agility carry which is played mid or in the safelane. This guide is for mid, but if you're playing it as a safelane carry you can mostly play it the same way, just take more regen to lane and level shrapnel earlier.

Sniper is a glasscannon which relies on positioning to stay alive. He has no escape tools, he walks slowly and his hp and strength gain is low. He has very good range on all of his spells though, which includes a slow from Shrapnel and a knockback from Headshot, so he is able to keep enemies at bay. You need to play Sniper from the backline, and sometimes you need to wait with showing yourself in a fight until enemy threaths have already been committed elsewhere. You can 'frontline' during sieges, as your long attack range lets you hit towers from far away which will force the enemy team to come out of their defensive position to fight you.
