PMB Prefix stands for "Planetary Mobile Base"

The Pioneer is a very cheap to produce wheeled mobile base capable of functioning on planets and moons with or without oxygen due to its completely airtight interior, using the small atmospheric thrusters the Pioneer can even scale steep hillsides and if there's a lack of atmosphere their placement allows you to replace them with ion thrusters, despite the lack of any serious weaponry the small point defence turrets still provide all round coverage in the occurrence of any threats appearing.
