Wreckage 101 v2.30

Description
Streaking balls of fire and stone fall from the sky and occasionally something more. Battered and beaten clockwork creatures cast down from on high. How did they get there? And what or who sent them hurtling back to the surface world?
Unfortunately there are no answers, but with practical application of your hammer skills, you can at least benefit from the strange occurrence. But be careful, you might just awaken something dangerous.

This mod adds a chance for Broken Clockworks to spawn from meteor showers, making Clockworks, Gears, and several other items into a renewable resource.

For those not familiar: Broken Clockworks normally appear in the Ruins.
A survivor can use 3 gears to repair these structure and spawn an allied Clockwork creature, or they can destroy it with a Hammer and obtain some loot:
Including: Frazzled Wires, Gears, Melty Marbles, and various Gems

By default the mod loot tables have been altered and will NOT drop items that are exclusive to the caves and ruins (thulecite, green gems, and yellow gems), but you can configure the loot table to 'cave ruins' if you desire, and even have the clockworks drop loot as if they were normal surface world clockworks.

As normal, there is a 10% chance that you will awaken a hostile clockwork when destroying these structures. This rises to 100% (configurable) if the Broken Junk is smashed by any means other than a player. Such as by another meteor strike, for example.

Due to various calculations that occur within the game during meteor showers, its hard to give an exact chance of this happening. But on Typical (default) setting , you should see at least one appear within five showers of meteors (~20% chance). But at the highest setting (~65%) you should see at least two appear in the same period. You can configure these numbers higher or lower.

Keep in mind, If the meteor strikes another object then the Broken Clockwork won't spawn as the game wont allow it unless there is a clear area. So its best to harvest all objects to give yourself the best chance. (Broken Clockworks only spawn from Large meteors.)

Please report any bugs, problems, or suggestions.
Thank you

So, a giant clockwork spaceship is under attack from moon and parts of this ship fall to the surface with great speed, destroying both the parts and anything below them.

Another idea, perhaps either a change to the altered drops or a new drop table that adds a 15%(1 in 7) chance of a lying robot trinket?

V 2.00 should allow you to configure what you were asking for,

As it stands right now, it spawns the same broken clockworks that appear in the ruins, so it has the same loot drop table - which means whatever it is they are dropping would normally be dropped if encountered in the ruins. The intent of the mod was to allow acquisition of that loot for people who are unable to run a server with caves enabled. -

That being said, I could probably make it configurable to not drop anything. This wouldn't stop them from being destroyed by a meteor strike or something, so they would simply be wiped out if that happened. meaning if the player didn't find them and destroy them, there would be no evidence the mod was even working. :P

I will look into adding configuration to decrease or eliminate loot drops from non player smashing.

Thank you for the feedback.

Just wondering, is it possible in this mod to make it so if smashed by any means other then a player that they never drop anything at all? Including clockworks?

Other then that I like the idea of this mod, renewable thulecite without fuelweaver anyone? XD

It might - I cant say for sure without seeing what is causing the crash.
You can try disabling one mod at a time and seeing if it crashes.
I sent you my discord info - if you have a discord account you can send me your client log.
Next time you experience the crash, just start a IM with me and drag and drop the log file into discord.
