Skoda 1000MB was first Skoda to have rear mounted engine. It had 1000ccm water-cooled inline 4 that powered rear wheels. The name "1000MB" was used, because it was introduced to the market when Mlada Boleslav, Skodas "hometown" had 1000 years anniversary.
1000MB was produced between 1959-1971 and kinda started Czechoslovakian fashion of making everything RWD. At least Skodas, Tatras were always like this.

X - wipers
switch operated bonnet and bootlid.
