Just a guide to show how to do some of the more basic things. Note that some information might be incomplete or incorrect. The game is new and things are still being discovered!

Before you read this, try it for yourself! It's a lot of fun to figure things out on your own, and being confused is a part of the game.

1.
Ship power. There's no known need to ever turn the ship off.

2.
SFX toggle. Turns off the SFX.

3.
Music toggle. Turns off the music.

4.
Centers the map onto current planet / position.

5.
Centers the map to your target planet.

6.
Various power buttons, not extremely useful but you can disable the maps backlight so it's easier to see which planets you've already visited.

7.
Rotates your ship and the maps view.

8.
Pans the map.

9.
Engage's the ships navigation after targetting a new planet.

10.
The cartridge, not entirely sure how it works, but it must be in the left slot to access the planet, and the right side to jump.

11.
Puts the disk in, putting you on the planets surface.

12.
The disk, clicking it will flip it from side A to B.

13.
Changes fuel consumption, high, mid, low.

14.
Selected planet's name. Also where you input the name in when you're the first to complete a planet. If the name has a / in it, it has yet to be landed upon and you can name it yourself!

15.
The navigation map. Stars you've visited will be a lighter color, you select new planets by centering them in the crosshairs.

16.
Fuel level, the speed of your next flight in PCS and an indicator of how much fuel will be used on your next jump.

17.
Various information on the selected planet and your ship. The first line is the coords of your ship, and the second line is the coords of the selected planet. The third line is the fuel being used for the trip, the first T is unknown, V is your velicity, the second T is the ETA, and the last line is unknown.

18.
We currently think this refreshes the planet names.

What is the button on the right of 4 and 5 on the other side of the screen? It hides a bunch of stars but I don't know why

Well, for starters, you'll might want to mention players cannot use any other control other than 1, 2, 3 and one that you missed (between 13 & 1, also triggered by Escape, the ejection button) if you created a game without online content... So basically without online content you can't do anything. Secondly you might want to say that there is a difference between disk side A and B and what some of the numbers and text means (or you think it means)...

Also, the switch that lights and darkens the star map will show you your flight history as a dotted line while it is darkened.

The first T is the ETA if the engines were engaged now at the current fuel usage setting.
Also, the third line is the distance in parsec (hence the PC), not fuel usage.
And finally, you're missing that one button below the map that reduces the amount of planets on screen- who knows for what purpose.

I think the first T in 17 tells you, if you were to stop moving and start travelling at your current speed selection, how long it would take

@shadaez I went and ran out of fuel intentionally, and then tried to jump. The little fuel bar thing (16) had a small amount in it which flashes for a few seconds, and the jump stick (9) engages, then flips back to unengaged. Thats it, until you have fuel for the jump. I expected a loud buzzer, explosions, warning lights, and a signed invitation from the president to stop trying to jump... or something like that.
