What is TTT?!?
Trouble in Terrorist Town (TTT) is a gamemode included with Garry's Mod. The game is about a group of "terrorists" who have traitors among them, out to kill everyone who's not a traitor.

A small number of players is selected as Traitors, who have to kill all the Innocent players (ie. the rest of the players). Those innocents know they are in the majority, but they do not know who is Traitor and who is not.

The Traitors must use the element of surprise and their special equipment, if they are to succeed. The Innocent just have to survive, which means finding out who the Traitors are and killing them before they kill you. Of course everyone is holding a big gun, and everyone looks suspicious...

For the Innocent, knowledge is power: who is acting strangely? Who can be linked to evidence found on corpses? Who is still alive, even
Turorial
Basics

A small group of Traitors is randomly picked.
Together they have to kill all the Innocent.
The Innocent do not know who is a Traitor and who isn't.
The Traitors must use this fact, because they are outnumbered
Innocents will not know you are dead until they find your corpse.

Special Equipment

Traitors can buy special equipment.
Their Equipment Menu can be opened by pressing C.
Innocent players who were selected as Detectives may also buy
special detective equipment, which can help them find the Traitors.

Death

If you die, you will not respawn until next round.

Innocents will not know you are dead until they find your corpse.

Corpses may have information that leads to the killer.
Keys
Keys

Q will drop your weapon so you can pick up another.

C will open the Equipment Menu, if you are Traitor or Detective.

Shift sends voicechat only to other Traitors.

F1 shows the Help and Settings menu.

Set a key for Suit Zoom in your settings to use Radio Commands.

Quickchat/radiocommand keys

Pressing the key that Suit Zoom is set to in your keyboard configuration will show a little popup with voice commands. Pressing the number key listed for a voice command will send the text to the chat. For some commands this will include the name of the player you are aiming at.

You may want to bind certain voice commands to dedicated keys, especially if you don't have a microphone and find you can't type quickly enough in sticky situations. I assume you know how to bind a key that isn't in the keyboard menu. If not either google on something like "bind key Source" or ask people.

The console command used to send a quickchat is "ttt_radio". You need to supply which quickchat text to send by adding its name, for example: "ttt_radio help" to send the "Help!" chat. Binding that to a key could look like:

bind "h" "ttt_radio help"

Entered into the console of course. These are the possible quickchat names:

    Name - Text
  • yes - Yes.
  • no - No.
  • help - Help!
  • imwith - I'm with (player you aim at).
  • see - I see (player you aim at).
  • traitor - (player you aim at) is the traitor!
  • suspect - (player you aim at) acts suspicious.
  • check - Anyone still alive?
karma
Karma

Every player has a Karma value. It starts at 1000, and goes down if you teamkill. At the start of a round, everyone who has a Karma below 1000 will have the damage they deal reduced by a certain percentage. As long as it's above 800 or so, the impact will be minor, but at 700 you'll already be doing only 80% of your full damage when you shoot someone. At around 500 Karma, it will be half.

Every time you damage someone who is on your side (e.g., innocent if you are innocent), your Karma is reduced by an amount based on your victim's Karma. So if you kill someone who plays carefully it will hurt your Karma more than if you shoot a teamkiller. You can see other player's Karma as it was at the start of the round on the scoreboard.
My personal tips

As Innocent, do not kill too easily! Killing other Innocents costs you a lot of points and Karma.
Make sure you're shooting a Traitor.

As Traitor, hide the body! Innocents get valuable info from corpses.

As Traitor, communicate and cooperate! Cause distractions,

lead targets into traps, cover up kills made by other traitors.

As Detective, search bodies! All Innocents can
see and use the results you find.

Use always headset, the sound in the game is evrything!

use microphone to communicate its always beter and quicker than typing.

As traitor try to lie as much as u can.

As traitor buy always body armor.

As traitor if there is 1-5 innocent left buy always rdarto find them quickly.

always shoot at the head.

As dective remember (if there is dna) remember walways use your dna scanner.

As inocent try help dectective as much as you can.
