Dire Straights I

On 27 June, 2024 South Korea reasserted it's claim to the Dokdo Islands. This was met with denial in Japan, who claimed that they should take this issue to the UN. South Korea refused to do so.
On 29 December, 2024 South Korea landed helicopters on the island, delivering troops to support in a naval excercise. Japan said this violated their sovreignty over the islands, South Korea did not comment on this objection.
Japan decided to one up the Koreans, and the world is about to see how.
