Pool Nation FX - Achievement Guide
By RVK
This guide will help with some of the more difficult achievements of Pool Nation FX. This guide will not focus on any advanced game techniques as I feel that other guides already do a great job at it. Please let me know if further clarification is needed on a topic discussed here or if any of my methods no longer work so that I may upgrade the guide for you.

Career Tips

You'll need to complete 100% of the campaign. Match challenges are not required to get 100%. The following tip works only for matches with multiple frames such as the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final game of each Stage in Career mode. It works by leveraging 2 bugs in Pool Nation FX.

Multi-Frame Match Tip
1. Play and win the first frame of a multi-frame match. This requires that you make the winning shot, potting the last ball. At this point you'll have acquired your first frame win.
2. Once the next frame starts, press Y to utilize the flashback. This returns you to the final shot of the previous frame and it'll also maintain your frame win from Step 1 (Bug 2).
3. Make the same shot again to win the old frame for a second time. This will now be considered a second win.
4. Repeat steps 2-3 until you complete all frames and you win the match utilizing the unlimited flashbacks (Bug 1).

Bug Explanation
Bug 1: Much like the original Pool Nation, you are given 2 Flashbacks to redo a shot in any match. However, in Pool Nation FX, you are able to use more than just the 2 flashbacks despite what the UI shows.

The default key for using the flashback is Y.

Bug 2: As expected, using a flashback at the beginning of a new frame returns you to the final shot of the previous frame. However, you incorrectly get to keep the win of the previous frame when returning to it using the flashback.

Leagues

Leagues will require a specific amount of XP per league to move up from 10 to 1. You'll need a friend or alt account to accomplish this. This is the fastest method I've found:

1. Start a League match by clicking Online then Leagues. On the new screen press Continue.

2. Starting the league match normally takes a few seconds, in this time you'll want to connect the second account to the match. Connecting to the match is most reliably done through the Steam Overlay, especially if the second account is playing on the free version (Lite). If you experience a bug on first connect, you might have tried connecting too soon, try connecting again. I usually bypass the initial connect bug by attempting to connect when the match is still loading (which produces the bug as expected) then I attempt a second connect immediately when the server loads (which works). This technique allows you to avoid having random players join the primary account's match while you attempt your second connect.

3. Once the game starts, click on Forfeit Match on the secondary account. This gives a win to the primary account and helps complete the leagues without playing.
Levels

This section covers Climbing The Ladder, Pool Pro, and Pool King achievements. You'll need a friend or alt account to accomplish this. These achievements should be left for last as you'll gain XP working on other achievements. XP is gained based on a difficulty multiplier. The more frames you play, the more difficult the AI, the lower your cue indicator the more XP you gain. Around level 75, XP per level increases requiring that you go through these wins twice per level, still significantly faster than any other method. The fastest, most reliable method I've found is below:

1. Click Online then Friendlies.
2. Set Frames to 25 then click Create Lobby. All other settings do not matter.

3. On the next screen have your friend join you. Click OK

4. Skip the cinematics to save time.

5. When the game starts, have the losing party press Esc to access the menu and click Forfeit.

6. Press Continue

7. Repeat 3-6 until level 100.

Hello, may I ask a quick info? How hard was the achievement " Zen Master - Achieve a time of 12 minutes in endurance without an aiming aid " ? I remember it being relatively hard in the previous game of the series and there you could use the aiming. Thanks
