Basic Info
Well you want to learn how to play Medic correctly? Well good for you! Oh just incase you lose intrest after 2 sentences, heres a true Medic story! Once i was a red medic on a payload map.[red normaly loses payload] So i was the only medic on my team. My team were doing TERRIBLY! Kept dying over and over. So i came in and starting laying healing and ubers everywhere. Won when the cart was on the edge. And i had the most points. Intrested in medics now? Good. Heres the facts. The medic is a support class designed for healing friendly units. This fast combat healing is done with the medics Medi-gun. Lame name but just stick with me. The medic is able to heal friendly units, overheal[add more than the normal amount of health], stop them from buring, and ubercharge[make immune to damage for a short time] them. So now that you know the basics lets begin.
Gameplay
Well now its on to gameplay for the medic. Since the medic is a support class the medic is best kept out of direct fire. However the medic should support units on the front lines. As a medic you should hide behind cover and heal units. Also note players who call out "MEDIC!" need healing. You can find them by the medic speech bubble icon. If the icon is red they need healing badly. If you are by chance caught out alone RUN. Your of no use in the front lines as a combat unit. Also if you see a unit on fire heal them. The medi-gun will put out fire. Now for the Ubercharge. The ubercharge is built up by healing shown on the small meter on the bottom right corner of your screen. Next to activeate it just right click once its at 100%! However do not deploy the charge unless in heavy combat. Also when you have activated the charge you should be healing a friendly. Good ubder choices are the Pyro,Heavy,Soldier, and Demoman. Also as a last resort you can uber yourself on your own. But as a LAST RESORT!
Weapons
Now heres the intresting part. The medic has a few weapons he can get and has. The default weapons are a Syringe gun[rapid fire low damage weapon],the Medi-gun[no desc needed],and finaly a Bonesaw[melee weapon]. Now all of the Medics weapons are low damage except for the melee weapons. Now for the weapons i reccomend. For ranged i reccomend any gun you want. I never use them and neither should you. For the Medi-gun i reccomend the default MG. It just works out best in the end. For melee i reccomend the Uber-saw. Great for chargeing your uber and good damage. Also note that melee medics are OP! I was able to Uber-saw a Heavy-Medic combo once! Not reccomended though. As for hats n stuff that does not matter.
Summary
Well so that finishes this quick guide! So you learned that Medics are support classes and should not be taken as a weapon. Also you learned who to heal and why you should stay away from combat directly. And what weapons to use. So thats that and now go out there and change the tide of the battle!

Well nice guide but it dosen't give that much information also I would use ubercharge if your going to get killed because it's waste if you just die and you had 100% ubercharge so it is'nt like you have wasted it for nothin.

You should add that as a medic, you should ALWAYS, ALWAYS ALWAYS play with at least 1 friend. In pubs, you have no idea how good the person you are healing is. What do I mean by good? Good Aim, Priorities, Choices. An Ubered pyro isn't good when he's chasing that one sniper who is in the back, when right in front of him are two heavy medic pairs
