I understand now, thank you. I was looking for a literal target talk on so that makes me feel better that I couldn't find it.

Talk on is simply "2, attack Medic 200 yards left" then you get the red box around it. You won't get this as gunner, since the ground only communicates with the pilot, then the pilot is supposed to be the 'spotter' for the gunner.

I am new to ARMA can someone tell me how to contact command and be tasked with missions in this scenario?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I get the message of standing by on guard channel. I'm sure the answer is obvious but I'm not sure how to access it. I've tried hitting a series of buttons to open it up, couldn't find it.

Unfortunately, you have to be pilot to get talk on.. limitation of game mechanics.

Hey, great stuff. As a JFO I really loved this. Maybe I missed it if you explained it. How do I get the JTAC to feed me the target talk on?
