Description
A standardized reusable booster, sporting recovery capacity of the first and second stages (but not the fairing), this rocket is built with all stock parts and with some parts from both DLCs. Using the Breaking Ground robotic parts, the landing gear set (activated by the 'Gear' action group) extends widely enough so as to make landing significantly easier (especially on drone barges) compared to the same booster with the (very bouncy) dedicated landing gear. Depending on the payload, the vehicle has sufficient deltaV to support boost-back burns to the KSC or island airfield, drone ship landings, and, with a payload mass similar to the practice mass simulator included, landing on the peninsula-shaped land mass across the ocean from the KSC.

Note that kOS is pretty much required for drone barge landings, in my opinion, if you want to spend a lot of time to learn how to use it effectively. Most if not all other landings are possible by hand, with a few trial runs for practice, however.
