Note: The terrain on the minimap you see on the first image isn’t what it looks like in the final version. I did this to let you, the viewers see what the map looks like without the terrain being pixelated, because I used pixel error (and will continue to use it on more large scale maps) for better performance (though at times the frames dipped into the low 30s sometimes on my PC with default everything). However, performance with mods can be quite irritating, so keep in mind that if you are going to use modded vehicles, and raise the bot count.

Description:

Gulf of Oman (16 player variant) is a small sized, modern themed, desert / coastal themed map that pits the USMC at the beach, while the MEC has control of the construction site, and two control points in the middle. Filled with buildings, and a village, the USMC, and MEC must work together through the use of vehicles in order to take over this small area.

Now I decided to make this map, because I wanted to remake one of my favorite maps from my favorite game of all time, and make it from the ground up. It isn’t 100% perfect (just like the other remakes I will do going down the line), but it is as close as I want to get with it without trying to make the performance tank. Thankfully with the original, there isn’t a lot of buildings, which is why I decided to make the buildings as close to the original as possible (even though there are only a couple buildings that don’t look exactly like the ones in the original, because I don’t feel like adding in more upon more effort into making those, since they are really detailed).

Message to Mac users who are still facing pink:

Let me know if you stumble across some problems with pink ♥♥♥♥ while running Mac versions for my maps, and not report me, because I am active on fixing problems in Mac versions for my maps, save for maps up until the Gulf of Oman remake (except for Quang Tri, somehow, though that version I am probably going to optimize the best I can), because I removed the files for those maps. I want you all to note that I have a Windows operating system, and I cannot see what you all see on the Mac version. Just want to point that out.

I will have you know that I, as well as many others in the Ravenfield modding community are displeased, pissed, and offended at you for what you had done. You really want to get that sweet, sweet money, as well as others who didn’t buy the game by pirating this map? Well, guess what, loser? I had enough of you pirating my maps, so I recently decided to go on the offensive, and desperately rip you a new ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ by talking ♥♥♥♥ about you so you won’t upload them, and also have text on the map saying that you suck. See how you like that for a change, loser. I hope your site crashes and burns, and you pieces of ♥♥♥♥ who install our mods from that site or from any other illegal website for that matter get arrested.
