There is a total of eightysix stories, if you follow the guides for the rest of the achievements this one should unlock as well, so do not worry.
At the moment of unlocking this achievement you should also unlock "Shekamu: The Foodie", "Foozool: The Snoop", "Khodemooni: The People Person", "Heepster: The Hipster", "Roshanfekr: The Intellectual", "Enghelabi: The Revolutionary", "Hajji: The Pilgrim", "Taghooti: The Royalist", "Sarbaaz: The Soldier", "Jam Konandeh: The Collector" and "Jaasoos: The Spy".

Baradar: My Brother
You saved Hossein.


In chapter seventeen there will be a shooting and you will have to decide whether to save Hossein or Ali. Choose Hossein and finish the game to obtain this achievement and to see a slightly different ending.



Doshman: My Enemy
You saved Ali.


In chapter seventeen there will be a shooting and you will have to decide whether to save Hossein or Ali. Choose Ali and finish the game to obtain this achievement and to see a slightly different ending.



Shekamu: The Foodie
Unlock all stories about Iranian food and drink.


There are three stories related to this achievement.

In chapter two and you will unlock "03. Etiquette of Chaiee" if you accept the tea that Hajj serves you tea.



In chapter four and you will unlock "28. Barbari Bread" by taking a photo of the man selling bread.



In chapter eleven you will unlock "60. Khoraki: Iranian Refreshments" after you talk with the man behind the counter who has refreshments and bologna sandwiches.



Pahlevoon: The Hero
Never fail a fight or run into an obstacle.


There are quick time events in chapters one, five, eight and sixteen, simply do them right and it should unlock. If you have finished the game once and you have failed at some of them do not worry, there is a glitch where if you play the last chapter it will unlock as if you would have done them all correctly.

Foozool: The Snoop
Explore all the areas in the Home exploration.


In chapter fourteen you will visit your parent's home, after dinner your father will tell you to look for a camera in his office, inspect every possible photo, object, book, and so on to unlock the achievement.

Khodemooni: The People Person
Interact with everyone on the streets and the rebel headquarters.


In chapters four, five and eleven talk with everyone and accept every possible social interaction.

Heepster: The Hipster
Unlock all pop culture related exploration points.


There are four possible stories and/or interactions that will unlock this achievement.

In chapter four there will be a man selling tapes, you have to choose the Kuorosh/Farhad Rock + Roll Mixtape tape to unlock "34. Kuorosh, Farhad and rock 'n' roll".





Also in chapter four there will be a magazine stand, look both at "The "It" Girl" and "Mom: The Modern Iranian Household".







In chapter eleven you will have to look at the movie posters titled "The Deers" and "Sun in the Swamp" respectively.





Roshanfekr: The Intellectual TC
Unlock all political exploration points.


To complete.

Namard: The Coward
Fully cooperate with Hajj.


Hajj Agha will interrogate you in chapters two, seven, twelve and nineteen. Be fully cooperative with him, answer all his questions and do not defy him.

Akaas: The Photographer
Unlock all photo stories by taking every possible photo.


Please note that the number in the book of these stories does not match according to their order of appearance, for example "40. Making a Mark" will appear almost at the end of the game in chapter sixteen rather than in chapter four where all of the other stories with numbers close to forty appear.
What I did was to put the chapter where they belong first, and then the number and the name of the story.

Chapter three:
  • 7. Heroic Martydom: Take a photo of the crowds with banners.



  • 8. For Miles: Take a photo of the crowds on the bridge.



  • 9. The King Statue: Take a photo of the man standing where once there was a statue of the Shah.



  • 10. Public Prayer: Take a photo of the praying people.



  • 11. Closed for Business: Take a photo of the people in the closed bazaar next to the car.



  • 12. Progressive Religious Leader: Take a photo of the people to your right.


Chapter four:

First part of the street:

  • 13. Saman: The Walking Dead: Take a photo of him.



  • 14. Paykan: The Iranian Chariot: Take a photo of the Iranian car.



  • 16. Party of God: Take a photo of the posters with weapons on them.



  • 17. A New Leader: Take a photo of the big mural.



  • 18. Street Bazaar: Take a photo of the bazaar.


Second part of the street:

  • 19. Street Literature: Take a photo of the book stand.



  • 22. Free Speech: Take a photo of the man that is handing out paper banners.



  • 24. Zoroastrian Roots: Take a photo of the building with the mosaic, you have to stand at the entrance and look to the left and up.



  • 25. Boiling Tensions: Take a photo of the man under the "US CAN NOT DO ANYTHING" poster.



  • 26. Garbage Can of History: Take a photo of the posters on the wall.



  • 27. The Ayatollah: Take a photo of the graffitis.



  • 28. Babari Bread: Take a photo of the man selling barbari bread.



  • 41. Hijab in Iran: Take a photo of the woman wearing a hijab.



  • 42. Freedom for Political Prisoners: Take a photo of the people with banners.



  • 44. The Martyr: Take a photo of the graffiti.



  • 45. Oil Boom: Take a photo of the people queuing up for oil.


Third part of the street:

  • 29. Opium in Iran: Take a photo of the man who fainted from consuming opium.



  • 30. Guerrilla News: Take a photo of the news bulletin.



  • 31. Secret Tapes: Take a photo of the man selling tapes.



  • 38. Woman and Child: Take a photo of the woman and her child.



  • 43. Divided Religious Front: Take a photo of the group of women wearing hijabs.



  • 46. Flag of Solidarity: Take a photo of the poster with a flag.


Chapter six:

There is a limited amount of time for this part, so I wrote the location of these photos.

  • 49. Crowd Control: Take a photo of the escaping crowd on the left.



  • 50. Military vs. People: Take a photo of the chanting crowd on the left.



  • 51. Idle Soldiers: Take a photo of the soldiers standing on the far left, in order for them to appear you will have to take a picture of the escaping crowd first.



  • 52. Shah's Thugs: Take a photo of Shah's supporters on the right.



  • 53. Urban Triage: Take a photo of the victims on the center.


Chapter sixteen:

  • 40. Making a Mark: Take a photo of the man doing a stencil.



  • 77. Mourning Protesters: Take a photo of the rebelling crowds.



  • 78. Death to America: Take a photo of the men chanting by the yellow bus.



  • 79. Destruction of Property: Take a photo of the destroyed items.



  • 80. The Shah's Portrait: Take a photo of the people that are burning photos of the Shah.



  • 81. Line of Defense: Take a photo of the people preparing molotov cocktails.



  • 82. Stamp of the Mujahidin: Take a photo of the stencil of the Mujahidin.



  • 83. Royal Corruption: Take a photo of the posters next to the people with molotov cocktails.



  • 84. United Against the West: Take a photo of the huge painting on the wall which depicts Uncle Sam as a symbol of oppression.



  • 85. The King of Kings: Take a photo of the man that is doing a graffiti of a red devil.

Enghelabi: The Revolutionary TC
Unlock all stories relating to revolutionaries or revolutionary activity.

Unlock all stories relating to religion or clerical leaders.


To complete.

Taghooti: The Royalist TC
Unlock all stories relating to the Shah and the royal family.


To complete.

Sarbaaz: The Soldier TC
Unlock all stories relating to the military.

Vahshi: The Savage
You made all violent choices.


In order to unlock this achievement you will have to commit violent actions in every posible case. In chapter three a communist activist will try to attack you and you will have to fight him, in chapter five during the riot you will have to throw a stone, in chapter eight when you are entering the Cinema Rex with Babak some thugs will think that you are a spy and they will attack you, beat him, and in chapter sixteen when the military declares martial law choose "Fighting" and after the quick time event, choose to attack.

Mazloom: The Pacifist
You made all peaceful choices.


In order to unlock this achievement you will have to commit peaceful actions in every posible case. In chapter three a communist activist will try to attack you and you will have to ???, in chapter five during the riot you will not have to throw a stone, in chapter eight when you are entering the Cinema Rex with Babak some thugs will think that you are a spy and they will attack you, do not beat him, and in chapter sixteen when the military declares martial law choose "Take a picture as proof".

Agha Doktor: The Doctor
Successfully pass both trauma gameplays.


There are two ocassions when people get hurt and if you manage to take care of them successfully you will unlock this achievement. In chapter six you will have to heal Abbas and in chapter sixteen you will have to heal Ali.

Jam Konandeh: The Collector
Collect all the Khomeini tapes.


There are a total of six tapes through the whole game, each one containing a speech from a political or religious leader.

In chapter three Babak will offer you the first tape, just accept it.



In chapter four there will be a tape in the table at which the woman is calling up on people, you can only colect it after you have interacted with her, it does not matter if you accept or refuse the pamphlets.







The tape next to the man deep in opium-induced sleep. This entry is in the third part of the street.

Jaasoos: The Spy
Unlock all stories relating to the secret police and secret operations.


All of these stories are unlocked during the chapters where Assadolaah interrogates you.
In chapter two you will unlock "02. Welcome to Evin", "04. Regime Crossover" (to unlock this one you have to open the file) and "05. The Butcher of Evin", in chapter seven you will unlock "54. Kaboos: The Nightmare of Torture in Evin" and in chapter twelve you will unlock "71. Public Recantations".

It's nothing, It is still unfinished because I had to uninstall the game before ending, I'll try to finish it one day. That's great to know, I think all achievements which require doing something specific in certain chapters can be obtained this way, I doubt this will ever change since it's more or less an old game and doesn't receive updates anymore.

PS flawlessly replaying ONLY 1-5-8-16 (and onwards until the end) for Pahlevoon still works as of 2020. Saved me some time too, thanks for the hint.

Could someone tell me if accepting Babak's tape in chapter three and you ask him what is on the other side is related to the hipster achievement?

Thank you! Although I think it have some flaws there are almost no games that describe historial and political situations like this one, it really surprised me the absence of a completed guide.
I still need to finish some parts but I've done almost all.

Thank you for such precious walkthrough. 1979 Revolution is a serious game for mature people and deserves attention.
