Description
As its name suggests, the Kerbal Reusable Orbiter costs 40,000 units, which is 20% less than the 'Standardized Reusable Rocket,' and while taking 25% more payload mass, has 200-300 m/s more dV than its counterpart. Compared to other reusable rockets, like the 'Phoenix 9' (currently popular on workshop), this rocket can launch over 50% more payload for roughly 15% the price.
Around 80% of the price of this rocket is recovered, with a recovery value of around 27,000 for the first stage and 4,100 for the second stage. The remaining 8,000 units lost is due to the cost of fuel and the fairing.
This percentage is as low as it is due to the low cost of the rocket, which means that in comparison, fuel is a larger part of the sticker price. For rockets where the recoverable stage involves vector engines, for example, up to 90-95% of the rocket cost can be recovered, simply because the recovered components are more expensive. An illustration of how cheap this rocket is is given in that the cost of the nine engines on the first stage of this rocket total around 10,600 units, which is already 20% of the total price. This is despite those engines being LV-T45 Swivels, which means they are some of the cheapest first stage engines available, besides Kodiaks and Reliants.

The horror mounts as I check back on my previous crafts' costs... [screaming]
I played some career worlds recently, and as it turns out, they make me strangely introspective about the entirety of my playing style. This rocket I suppose is to make up for my previous transgressions.

That feeling if you realize your rover is more than twice as expensive...
It´s kinda shocking XD
