40mm/65 Type 47 PDC Turret Mount MarkII

A heavy PDC, propelling 18g slugs at 2,7km/s. It is still effective, even if used in lower numbers (Tough 7-8 are the required minimum against 20-30 stock Striker Nuclear Missiles), making up for it's high price and weight. The gun is best used for short range PD duties, though it can also be used against enemy capital ships to great effect. The heavy shells and high fire rate enable it to tear through heavy armor like a piece of paper at ranges up to 100kms. The ammunition storage is quite limited however due to weight constraints on my smaller ships.
