If you are like me and your game stopped starting (nothing launches even though the process Ravenshield.exe starts) then this is the solution for now.

**Windows 7 x64 - Rainbow Six 3: Gold (Steam)**

Issue: Game not starting with Steam.

Solution 1: Just click the "DisableShims" file from here and it will work again. http://www.allr6.com/Windows7_LaunchFix_OldGames.zip

Solution 2: Patch the .exe with this one from original game and it will still be playable. http://allr6.com/R63-NOCD-ALLR62017.zip however it seems to not show that you are in game on Steam friends list. But thats not really a big deal.
