the guide to end the world
wows 10k damage with a wand you musta haxed!

nope. just used a few decent materials. also if you cast too many youll lag your game! fair warning!

this is my first guide ever so i hope you like. also as i find new combo's ill go ahead and post it here =D

obviously this is on a wand, if you want more damage go ahead and toss it on a regular spell, also this requires at least NG+++

so lets get started how do we get this epic wand of DEATH? and why does it work?

let us answer the 2nd question first

the materials: Illusion Dust, Crystal Ball, diamond, bouncy ball, sea shell, string, and miniature sun

what do these do and what happens when you combine them?
illusion dust: each cast you produce 1/2/3/4/5 additional shots, at the cost of reduced damage.

wait? reduced damage? but how you supposed to hit 10k with this it reduces your damage you obviously need more damage not less!
okay lets do the math then: with A rank illusion dust you fire 5 projectiles but your damage/projectile is effectively halved. a wand does 10 damage per projectile.
see didnt i tell you your doing less damage!
wrong: your firing 5 shots that do 5 damage: 5x5 = 25, which is more than 10.
oh..... but how they supposed to hit, it spreads them out?

thats where the 2nd material Crystal ball comes in:
crystal ball: projectiles home in at 50/75/100/125/150 force (think of this as how fast it turns)

so now you have 5 shots, that hit the closest thing. therefore damage is now at 25 on a single target.

huh... cool.

but wait theres more!
next material is the
Diamond: alone the diamond just let your shots hit an additional 2/3/4/5/6 targets

combined with homing your 1 shot goes through the foe and quickly turns into the... oh wait the projectile hits the ground and dissapears...

HAHA loser see even if i multiply my shots, give them homing and let them go through foes that still doesnt increase my damage to 10k! idiot im disliking this guide.

hold on, before you go, at least finish reading. there are after all 4 more materials and the 4th material immediatly addresses the problem of "projectile hits ground, dissapears"
oh yah prove it!

bouncy ball: projectile bounces off ground 2/3/4/5/6 additional times.
this means your projectile will go through the target, turn, hit the ground, bounce back into the target, go through and repeat up to 6 hits.
lets do the math shall we: 5 projectiles x 6 hits (maximum) x 5 damage = 150 total damage.

WAIT A MINUTE i just tried this combo, it doesnt do 150 damage! it only did 30! YOUR A LIAR!
well yes, there is a chance that itll do only 1 hit, bounce and not turn fast enough to hit a 2nd time with most of the projectiles and fly off to nowhere, so i guess its more precise to say that it does 5 projectiles x 1/2/3/4/5/6 hits x 5 damage for 25/50/75/100/125/150 damage.
SEE! you proved yourself wrong again idiot. 150 damage is nowhere NEAR the 10k damage, unless you can somehow multiply the projectiles more!.

well... ill just put this down:
seashell: after a short delay a projectile splits into 2/3/4/5/6 additional projectiles, however the spell does less damage and has less spell power if it splits into 5 or 6.
so now you have: 5 main projectiles x 6 additional projectiles per main projectile x 1/2/3/4/5/6 hits x 4 damage (thats right you lose 1 damage for multiplying your projectiles 6 fold)

oh wow... even though you reduced the total damage per projectile you still increased the damage... nice!
so now will you believe me?
NO even then youd be doing anywhere between: 120-720 damage, that is still no where near 10k!
oh wow, did you actually do all that math yourself?
yah why?
that... is surprisingly accurate, in any case: if your too close to your target your projectiles may not split before hitting them so youll do less damage, the numbers are a bit hard right about now but assuming you hit a minimum of twice, with the 2nd hit having seashell split youll be doing about 20 damage the first hit, and 28 the second hit for a minimum damage that is super unlikely to ever occur under any circumstances of 48. still better than the minimum damage without seashell though.
huh thats pretty cool.

before you ask. yes theres another way to multiply your damage.
string: it leaves a trail of projectiles until the spell reaches its maximum distance: with just string on a wand youll produce about 21 projectiles. each rank affects how long the trail of projectiles last with the highest rank being 1.5 seconds. note that spell power is reduced with this. spell power only really affects secondary effects, not damage. early game just adding string and illusion dust is a great way to increase your damage, especially if you add in a material like the necrom-nomicon which spawns minions for each projectile, but this isnt about the minions.

so lets combine all the materials we now have: illusion dust, crystal ball, diamond, bouncy ball, seashell, string, lets also assume max damage cause yah figuring out minimum damage will get tiring from here on out. also seashell extends the range by double so when seashell procs it adds a an additional 21 per seashell projectile. this will be important later.

to make the maths easier ill be grouping each segment of the attack in ( parenthesis ):

(((5 main projectiles x 21 string projectiles) x (5x6 seashell x 21 seashell string projectiles)) x (6 hits)) x 4 damage =
(((105) main projectiles x (630) seashell projectiles) x (6 hits)) x 4 damage =
(((66150 projectiles) x (6 hits)) x 4 damage = 1,587,600 damage.... IF this was a perfect world, however, there is 1 problem!

seashell when it is combined with string stops spawning projectiles in its side arms if its projectiles spawn in the same space. meaning that roughly half of seashell actually spawns projectiles, probably less!.
still the number of projectiles is significant. at point blank range pointing straight up your damage is nearly 2.9k with a single wand click.

..... but thats not....

not 10k. yet.

the final material will fix that:
miniature sun: it creates a aura of 5 magicmeters big that deals with the current combo 1.38812/2.77625/4.16437/5.5525/6.94062 damage/s (note this is due to reduced spellpower as above)
what does this mean? it means every projectile deals about 7 damage per second until they dissappear.

again at point blank range pointing up what damage do you think youll get?

uhhhhh

to answer: about 7.4k

WAIT A MINUTE NOW YOU HAVE ALL OF YOUR MATERIALS ON, YOU OBVIOUSLY LIED ABOUT THE 10K DAMAGE AND YOU JUST PROVED IT! THERES NO WEASELING OUT OF THIS ONE!

again. at "point blank range, pointing straight up" what do you think will happen is you stand a little further away and allow more projectiles to spawn before they deal the first hit? well the average is about 7.9k but can reach 10k if your in exactly the right place and the projectiles dont decide to fly someplace else.

still pretty cool right? oh and best part is it can hit multiple targets

well yah i guess so....

oh and if for some reason you decide to set the wand to enchanted you still do about 5.5k....

oh and this is on a wand. multiply the damage by at least 10 for a normal spell that costs the normal amount. enjoy.

I've got one that's about 25k. I think I got higher once but I've since lost the exact recipe.

At wand speeds. And with only 1 click. If i could add necrom-nomicon itd maybe do more...
