Description
Description : Wanted to have a "Command Ship" finished before I worked on any carrier-centric warships, so here's my first attempt at a central kind of do it all ship. Not designed as a combat ship, it's meant to act as a place to build/hold fighters, train/hold crew, and hold any other junk you want in it's cargo container. Production/Assembly is kept low for early entry as Assembly Blocks are super expensive. Has a lot of room to improve Assembly production, but for now this keeps it under 2 million credits to build. I suggest keeping this ship out of combat, and putting a lot of utility System upgrades like deep scan, object scanners ect. It's a good ship to keep behind your main ship. Though it can act as a carrier, I wanted a ship to fit assembly blocks on it that filled the role as constructor. Most future carriers will not have assembly blocks.

Lore: IMC being a more neutral faction has the luxury of offering unique role ships, and with the introductoin of a new Command line of ships, they give a very economic and easy benchmark affordable to any fleet looking for strategic center poitns to their fleets.

Hey Xexorian. I'm unsure how 2.0 is going to work, likely will have to play then figure out what needs to be done. I usually dont design after existing properties but could come up with something fun and new.

I was curious if you had any plans for new ships or perhaps a whole collection for us come 2.0 update Haurbus? Maybe based off the master of orion series of ships, in particular I like the old 2d sprites from MoO2 but the recent MOO remake had some decent models that i think could work for avorion!

Hey Xexorian. As ships get larger there's like a diminishing returns on their speed/brake/turning. As you start to replace Trinium out for more HP, and as size scales. It's hard to manage but I dont have as much experience with 15 slots yet.

Yeah I agree, and I see what you mean. I've been using the sleuthhound almost exclusively now at 150% or 200% scaled up because its decent and fast (agile) but after i entered the barrier i straight up went box ship cause i got gibbed real quick on one of my first yellow jumps even with a million shield hp lol.. sigh I'd like to get a fast 15 slot with like 500m/s accel and brake with 2.5+ rad/s pitch/yaw/roll but even with me building boxes trying out stuff it seems like everything is just too weighty at 15 slots. not sure.

Hey Xexorian. There's no colour coding for framework specifically. They're up to you how you want to customize it. But the only exception I think was I played around with assembly blocks on this. The red ones?.. I think were better for assembly(Just expensive) to make this a dedicated factory ship for fighters.

Otherwise the reason I colour code them is to give depth or distinction between the frameworks as they overlap a lot usually. If they were all grey, it'd be hard to decipher or read how much or where they're located.

A dedicated command ship is a good idea actually I forgot I haven't made one for HON, or RIA yet. might be my next ship design. A lot of the HON stuff I try to give some hanger capability without making them carrier heavy. But dedicated command ship might work really well.

what are the various colored frameworks for? what does each color "recommend" me put there? can you elaborate for the HON ships as well? I would love to see a hon commander ship too! I have no idea what im doing and am just getting started with my first carrier from the sleuthhound you got, which lead me to here, and im just lost as ever lol

This is a really nice looking ship, thanks.

To upgrade, you usually go in the build menu, select the eye icon to show only frameworks, then you have to select the block you want it to become in the bar below, then the upgrade block (I think arror pointing to square?) then you can click on the frameworks you want converted, and it should convert them.

This fits the role of battlefield r-salvager really well. To upgrade blocks, do I select the "framework" option in the build menu, and then just upgrade those chunks to what I want?
