Description
(DISCONTINUED, I am unable to raise any enthusiasm to carry on modding Avorion. Therefore I am discontinuing my mods for Avorion and declaring them community property, if anyone wishes to update them, remake them, or anything at all feel free to, they are free game.)

A collection of advanced system modules providing rare and powerful upgrades to the normal modules.
Though they were overrun and driven from the core by the Xsotan. The Ancients were a powerful empire wielding many advanced technologies. Now as their former home systems are being reclaimed some fragments of their technology may be recovered.

Adds the following new modules

Aegis Fire Control & Coordination System: doubles the number of turrets other ship systems can control.
Adamant Shield Capacitor system: provides both impenetrable shields and a more powerful shield restoration system when depleted.
Jumpdrive Capacitor: adds extreme jump range with lesser recharge and drive cooldown bonuses.
Singularity Drive Core: boosts drive cooldown and lowers jumpdrive power costs massively.
Antimatter Reactor Core: massively increases power generation and recharge rates.
Slipstream Drive: removes velocity restriction and massively boosts acceleration.
Zero Tau Power Sump: stores massive amounts of power and improves recharge rates.
Void Shield Generator: boosts shield capacity and recharge speed massively.
Infinite Horizon Sensor System: boosts scanner reach, radar range, and hidden mass detection range significantly.

These upgrade modules are Unique and Must be installed permanently, they can only be removed safely with the assistance of Equipment Dock personnel. They are also rare so don't expect to see them very often.

**NEW** Updated to be compliant with the Systems Factory mod. All modules now have recipes suited to their extreme rarity. No one really knows exactly how these items are constructed and the recipe materials reflect the sheer amount of raw materials wasted simply by trial and error to get one of these items to work. Note: due to rarity of the modules even finding a Systems Factory outside the very center of the galaxy that can build more than a few of these modules is very difficult!

Note: Works with the current beta version 0.26.1

The updated version is located here: I patched it up and left all the modules as they were.

I've decided to pick up this mod and take over updating it upon based on community requests. I'll be updated the patched version.

This sounds interesting. I hope it will get updated to the current version and next versions as well. :-D ..

The mod caused a problem with the debug mode. It ensures that many of the top tabs disappear and only the first 5 or so are available in the "Upgrade" tab.

does anyone know what needs to be rewritten on this mod, and where would i find sources for their modding API? i fixed one of the system upgrades mods that caused the same issue but it seems that the solution is not that easy for turrets, nevertheless i have no idea which function is now improperly named from just observing the turretUpgrades.lua files

@leareth
atleast he made the public mods instead of just flat out shutting them down or taking them off the workshop

What? Discontinued? Come on, I was looking forward to these mods getting updated all week. Okay, I understand that life happens, and that all modders eventually abandon their projects at some point, but its still annoying. If anyone could keep clones of these mods updated, I for one would really appreciate it.

As of the current update most of my mods will need to be completely rewritten, this will take some time and this week I have other responsibilities. I hope to be able to tackle this over the weekend and have all the mods back up and running by Monday next week.

Hi! :)
I'd like to point out that with the last update, this mod is breaking systems loot. :(

All systems are droppping as "Nameless" systems, with no effects or value.
