"If I may share a comparison I put together - NVIDIA's Freestyle filters (I call them "FX") make it seem almost like a different game... so much detail I love it.
[The game's graphics have some banding (colour/dithering) within them, that get accentuated with too much 'sharpening' filtering done; but I personally don't mind it and turn it all up lol]

GTX 1060 GPU

Performance delta: ~1-10 fps depending on area complexity (usually ~5fps)

GeForce Experience 3.20 now Officially Supports No Man's Sky (but the filters can sometimes be used on 'any game', even if it is not explicitly listed).
GTX 6xx Series or 660M, or higher; GPU Drivers 390 or higher, required

This game doesn't look too 'bad' to me personally, btw (especially if one can turn up the graphical settings) - I am just enjoying the Filters at the moment (especially the detail that can be brought out of some surfaces that look a bit like 'plastic', they become 'metal with impurities/textures/etc')...
