just press "H" to scroll it down and "Y" to scroll it up (if you're using a gamepad - it's the right stick; make sure if using a multi-controller plug-in usb, to unplug all controllers then just plug in the Xbox controller, it will map the buttons properly so can scroll with the right stick).

I kid you not I just started the game and I was MISERABLE trying to figure out what my beads did

thanks dude, one of the biggest gripes i had with the game was because i didn't know what anything did because they had these long ass descriptions that obscured what they did so my build was entirely guess-work.
